yeah, the verses do sound somewhat like BR. this sounds like a great blend of older blink and s/t blink, but the chorus sort of reminds me of +44. Travis kills it on this track. ps. ddl601tk11rou.cloudfront.net/Hearts-All-Gone.mp3 direct link to the mp3 on the site, found this somewhere else.

My only complaint is the bass is too low.

Aaron, you can get off my ass now! Haha.
It totally sounds like BR musically. Parts kinda remind me of Cheshire Cat era Blink.

wow, I definitely hear the BR too.
This is cool, definitely hear some classic Blink sound in it!

I think Dave's description hit it perfectly.
OK, sorry to change the subject, but I'm listening to that Wonder Years album and that "this generation's" thing really fucking pisses me off. Such lazy writing.

I didn't notice it until you mentioned it a couple pages back, but it annoys the hell out of me now. I'm sure he was trying to go for some misguided literary device, since he used to be an english teacher and all, but way to fail, bud.

Green Day are playing a bar on thursday in The OC. Tickets only sold at the door day of the show, first come first serve. I'm getting there at like 6 or 7 in the morning in hopes of getting in. I'm hoping that since it's 21+, that gives me the slightest of advantage.

"Heard Mentality reports that the trio is going old-school and leaving their backing band at home. Expect a setlist “rife with old stuff.” Better line up now"

So, that didn't happen. They actually played a new album. Some like, 19 or 20 songs. I liked it a lot more than 21st Century Breakdown, but damn was it way too long. I think fans of pre-AI will enjoy it. It's like a mix of Nimrod, Warning, and Foxboro. They did play older stuff though. One from each era. Welcome to Paradise, Burnout, Murder City, Only Of You, JAR, Hitchin; a Ride, St. Jimmy, and Minority.

Oh shit "JAR"!

Not gonna lie, I would have been disappointed that they didn't just tear through a bunch of old shit, but that's still pretty cool. If the new album's like you described it, I think I'll like it.

Oh, I was definitely a little disappointed but those 8 songs were enough to satisfy. Hell, JAR was enough to satisfy me haha. And the room they played was seriously like, half the size of a Subway. They also did a Foxboro song and an Ozzy cover.

If I saw Green Day in a place like that and all they played was "JAR," "She," and then Good Riddance" on a loop for the rest of the set, I would leave a happy man, haha.

I think they would have gone a little longer if it hadn't been so hot in there. I don't think I've ever sweated so much at a show and an hour and a half of it was mostly standing and bobbing. Then by Burnout, I was dancing and singing along so hard that I could just feel my shirt start to wear me down haha.

I could just do with "JAR" and "She."
What Ozzy song did they cover?

Goodbye to Romance
It was also weird to see Billie actually play on St. Jimmy.

Ok, I was still uncertain, but it turns out they covered The Clash's Last Gang in Town. It sounded different though.

Think that set off the Wes Bat Signal, haha.
Did they play the super long version of Minority?

Not really. I mean, Billie introduced the band, but it was just the 4 of them and none of them did a solo or anything.

Haha, it did Corey, but I was pretty baffled by that song choice since it doesn't seem like a Green Day type of song at all.

It sounded pretty good for what it's worth. Like I said, it sounded a little different. Had their own little Green Day flavor that mixed with the rest of the new songs.

oh I believe it. I'm not a purist when it comes to Clash covers, as long as it's not complete shit I'll generally love it.

I knew it! It wasn't a cover of the Clash song, it was a new song. I knew it sounded too different.

If Green Day's known for one thing, it's being original!

Speaking of Clash covers, Against Me! did "Janie Jones" for AV Club's Undercover Series and did a damn good job. However, I was EXTREMELY bummed when I read that they originally were going to have Wild Flag do it, but they had to back out

The new Polar Bear Club EP is pretty disappointing. It's not terrible, just very bland and uninteresting.
