That was the first Thrice song I've listened to since The Illusion of Safety. Not my thing, but I love the bass in it. I could've sworn I was listening to Chris Cornell sing at one point, though.
While we're on topic, can we talk about how fucking awesome Under A Killing Moon is? That song, along with the entire Warped Tour 2003 comp, shaped my music tastes more than any other album, aside from Sing the Sorrow.

If you like "Under A Killing Moon" I'm sure you'll enjoy the rest of the album. The guitar tone on that album is pretty sick and it has some of my favorite lyrics from them on it. It's also their heaviest, imo.

Just listened to the new song. Sounds like it could have easily been on the Fire disc of the Alchemy Index, which I am perfectly fine with.

God, I am loving Yellow Belly, but I'm hugely biased. Thrice is easily my favorite band.
Wes, I don't listen to pre-AITA either and I am perfectly okay with that. I could never get into any of it.
Corey, I completely agree with Artist being the most heavy and it definitely has some of my favorite lyrics as well. Yellow Belly does sound a bit like it could've been on Fire, but there's soemthing about it that's much different from it in a really good way.
I can't wait for the new album.

Eh. TOYPAJ was amazing when I was in high school, but it hasn't aged well for me. Same goes for Enema to a lesser extent. Dude Ranch and the s/t are the only ones I listen to on a semi-regular basis.

I was never big on EOTS. I like TOYP better. But Dude Ranch, fuuuuck, I still remember buying that CD summer of 97 when we were visiting some friends in Washington. Great road trip.

I got Dude Ranch for my brother for his birthday. Pretty sure I ended up listening to it more than him haha.

I haven't listened to a full blink album in forever but TOYPAJ is usually what I go to when I want to listen to them. Partially because it was the first album I got from them and I listened to it a lot on this road trip I went on with my dad during the summer of 2002.

Enema will probably always be my favorite, but the s/t is close.

It baffles me that so many people like Dude Ranch (etc) over TOYPAJ, Enema, s/t.

I prefer their punkier side as opposed to their poppier side. I like Enema's songwriting, but I can't get into the production on the album like I can on Dude Ranch. I even prefer the production on TOYPAJ over Enema, but I never really grew accustomed to the more serious tone they were starting to take. That's why I can't get into S/T.
For the record: Despite how I feel about Enema's production, I think it fits the album.

I like their punkier side more as well, but more importantly I prefer their more earnest songs over the goofier ones, which I think there was a lot more of on the later albums. Songs like "Apple Shampoo," "Lemmings," "Untitled," and "Waggy" are my favorites.

Dude, "Josie" is the jam. And "Boring." And all the ones Nick said. And, I don't care how big of a radio hit it was, "Dammit" is still the jam too.
Oh man, "M&Ms" and "Carousel" came on Pandora last night <3
And s/t. I fucking hate that album.

Dude Ranch rules but I don't think I would listen to it on my own time anymore.
Well, actually all of this blink talk might make me want to give it a spin, haha.
