First half is great. Second half is greater. That's just off two listens though.

I started listening to it last night but got distracted. It sounded like a really good album, though.

this album is SO fucking good! and aaron, yeah, i love the first half, but the second half is better.
BUT WHEN I ASKED FOR ANOTHER DATE, YOU GAVE ME THE WRONG NUMBER BUT IT'S OKAY CUZ YOU LOOK SORTA KINDA LOOK LIKE JELLO BIAFRA
i think i've laughed at this every time i've listened.

Ugh, that song is the only one I don't like. "You're fat, crazy and look like a man?" Did Ben Weasel write this?
The rest of the album fucking rules, though. "Who Let the Dogs Out?" is my favorite.

wait, are those actually real House Boat lyrics, Nick? If so, fuck this band I'm not even gonna check out that trash.

I was paraphrasing. What Dave posted are actual lines, and it also has "I hope you're not hideously overweight," and "this girl turned out to be a fucking loon."

Does the guy from Dear Landlord do more vocals on this album?

Ohh, okay, Nick. Not that that shit ain't bad but sadly I wouldn't really be surprised if the quote you put was verbatim. Either way though I don't need to listen to fat-shaming crap. Does the guy from Dear Landlord do more vocals on this album? I was wondering that too. His vocals are a million times more enjoyable than Grath's in my opinion.

I just angrily skip past that track, because the rest of the album is really great and doesn't have shit like that (as far as I know; I was listening to it in the car and didn't hear all the lyrics).

Ugh, that song is the only one I don't like. "You're fat, crazy and look like a man?" Did Ben Weasel write this? as far as i can tell, he's singing about different people in the whole song, not that it makes the shitty lines any better, but yeah. I think that near-chorus thing in the beginning says "i've got a few stories to share with you, I hope you don't mind that my views are disgusting". i could be hearing that wrong? the Jello Biafra line makes me laugh mostly because Jello Biafra makes me laugh. A Song In Which I Try To Convince Myself Not To Be Such A Fucking Idiot and Real Life as a Metaphor For Real Life are my favorites so far. and Zach mostly does backing vocals, Grath does the majority of the lead vocals. Now We Are 31 fucking rules too, Mikey Erg, Zach and Grath all get their own parts on it, so good.

Other than House Boat, I've been on a general pop punk kick this week. Banner Pilot, Latterman, Lemuria, RVIVR, D4, The Dopamines, etc etc. Kinda weird considering last week was drone, doom and black metal, haha.

Heh, funny you should mention OWTH. They just blocked/took SPB off their followers list after I tweeted at them, "It'd be great if you didn't toss around transphobic slurs like 'tranny.' Thanks!"

that's so lame I've met those guys multiple times and they're always the nicest dudes. Ryan can totally be an asshole though.

It's amazing how overtly bigoted a lot of them are, too.
I can't get behind that guitar tone on those House Boat songs.

This thread totally made me remember that The Aquabats are, in fact, a band.

This is so fucking good! Best Blink song I've heard in years. Weirdly, the verses remind me of Bad Religion.
