They missed things on both sides, to be honest. Ryan stomped on Blum's skate and they didn't call anything about it. Hornqvist is basically a younger version of Tomas Holmstrom so you're going to have plenty of rants about him for as long as he's in the Western Conference, haha. Preds lost that game because of stupid penalties early on, though so they have no one to blame but themselves for that. You play with fire (or in this case Anaheim's top line), you get burned. Badly.
Vancouver-Chicago was amazing tonight. Wanted it to go to OT because I enjoyed watching it so much.

It wasn't so much the missed calls that peeved me... that's gonna happen, and the Bobby Ryan stomp was a fairly severe incident to miss (though looking at the replay, it wasn't as vicious as I thought at first). Its that they called penalties they shouldn't have, things I can't even conceive why they're blowing the whistle at all. But that happens; I'm just getting into the game. Sounds like Bobby Ryan could get between 2 - 4 games of suspension for the stomp. That sucks. :/
Saw the Van - Chi clips... looked intense! I can't find coverage of the other games, so I'm only finding one a night.

Welp, Phoenix is done.

Looks like it. I missed what happened to the Mule's face, though. He looks like he stuck it in a blender!
EDIT: Whoa, reality check--down by 2, but a 5-on-3 to open up Phoenix opportunities!

Two game suspension for Bobby Ryan. That's gonna make things rough--I just don't think Winchester nor Belesky can fill that role, and that's likely what will happen. An interesting move would be graduating Selanne back to the top line and filling his spot with a recalled Dan Sexton, but I doubt that'll happen, and who knows if it'd be the right move anyways.

Good thing for Philly that the Sabres were trying to hand that game away to them. 22 minor penalties called. Just wow.
Missed both the Boston and LA games but it sounds like I didn't miss much.

Defense wins championships. If we lose this series, I think I know why.

Seven fucking penalty kills. Fucking christ. We need to play more disciplined in game 4. We have to take one of these games at MSG if we want to win this series.

Selanne, you beautiful man, I could kiss you x2!
Edit: Not the best we've ever played, and the losing result was earned. But we still finished fiercely and that gives me a ton of confidence moving on. Need to figure out from this game who works best as the top-line replacement.

Raffi Torres could be next on the suspended list after that hit. I didn't think it was dirty but the league will probably think otherwise....

He hit Seabrook like a train. I'm stoked Vancouver's up 3-0. They've been my go-to playoff team since the Leafs seem incapable.

No suspension for it, thankfully. So many people are crying about it, though but I guessed that was expected.

I don't think Boston's a playoff team, but Thomas is more than a playoff goalie.

Speaking of playoff teams underperforming, Phoenix is getting mauled by the Red Wings again. They have looked horrible this whole series but I kind of saw this coming.
Kunitz's elbow to Gagne's hit is a hit worth people bitching about. End of that game was pretty sweet, though. So was the Flyers-Sabres game.

That was quite an epic fucking fail by the Kings. What a game, though. I thought the Sharks would be in trouble after how they started the game but they really turned it on in the second period.

The Kings are just giving away this series. They've had every right and opportunity to up 3 - 0 in this series. That said, way to go Sharks, playing like the good team they really are... even if they're taking the nail-bitten route.

Fuck ya, Ducks! Absolutely fabulous game, played so strong. We played good in game 2, but we played great in game 4. I hope we ride this energy back home.

Poor Shane Doan/Coyotes fans. I know the attendance is shit down there but I feel bad for teh real fans. never fun to know that you might lose your team.
And I'm hoping the Caps comeback last night can help us finish off the Rangers tomorrow.

Oh right. That would make more sense because we're going back to Washington. Then again, having a three day break between game 3 and 4 seemed unnecessary.

Well, Kings, you fought well, but when it came down to it, you didn't have enough nerve to shut games down. Good luck to Sharks from here on out. I hope they don't end their season in traditional tragic fashion.

So is a complete meltdown going to happen for Vancouver? I don't think it will happen but it might after these last two games. It's not that they lost but mainly how they looked like absolute shit in both games and one of them was at home. Chicago knows how to expose their flaws and AV hasn't been the best at motivating his team in the past so we'll see what happens.

And... all for not. Predators fought hard and snagged a win from under our thumbs. Gonna take an obscene amount of back-bone to win this one.

From an objective standpoint, that's been the best series of the playoffs. There have been so many good games this week. Reminds me of why I love hockey.

WOOOOOOO.
What a way to close out the series. Controlled that game from the puck drop and we're moving to the next round!

Its gotta be tough for any team to win a series with as much uncertainty in net as the Flyers have had this past week. Oh well... I'm a secret Sabers fan anyway.

I do not even know why they are starting Leigton. Bobrovsky was their best goalie all year and they sent Leighton back to the AHL because he was so bad. The Flyers D isn't what it was last season and both him and Boucher's flaws are being exposed big time.
Edit: Actually, Boucher played well in his first two games. Just gave up two of the worst goals ever in game 5.
