what the hell, how hasn't this been made yet?
These guys have been on heavy rotation for me lately, specifically Good Mourning and Maybe I'll Catch Fire.
I got into them when Crimson came out, I bought the album based on the singles, and was kind of dissapointed with the rest of it. Slowly collected all of the albums, and they have easily become one of my favorites.
I have always claimed Good Mourning to be my favorite album, but MICF has been getting close to taking that spot. Holy shit it's so good.
Right now "She Took Him To The Lake" is my favorite song. It's a perfect song, it's absolutely gutting. I think Dan is a better writer than Matt.
Discuss.

It's a lot of hit or miss for me. "Tuck Me In" and "Snake Oil Tanker" are probably my favorite songs! As for my favorite album, FHTI gets the most listens.

On a serious note, I love them. I always toggle between them and AFI as my favorite band.

I love this band recorded, however, I find them to be boring as shit live. How I remember being 14 or 15 and rocking Goddammit in my room. I recently gained a new appreciation for Crimson. I lost my Good Mourning cd...boo.

All of Crimson was awful, with the exception of the title track. sorry, but what title track are you talking about? anyways, I have Crimson and Good Mourning and I love them both. my favorite songs are I Was A Prayer, Continental, Smoke, Blue Carolina, & Blue in the Face.

Really Jeff? I was kind of bored the first time I saw them opening for NoFx, but I saw them again when they were playing the whole Goddamnit! album, and they were amazing.

Didn't like them for a long time, then Devyn made me try them again earlier this year and I fell in love. I've been listening to pretty much nothing but Maybe I'll Catch Fire this weekend and I'm not sure why because I'm not in a bad mood and that's usually a bad mood album for me.

One of my favorite bands definitely. As much as I want the band members to be happy, I miss the days when Matt was always pissed off and fucked up. And when Dan could never get a girlfriend. Any news on the new record they've been working on?

I think Agony and Irony had some good stuff on it. I love Over and Out.
All of Dan's songs from Goddamnit to Infirmary are perfect except for Enjoy Your Day, which I hate. Crawl is wonderful.

I'm not sure why because I'm not in a bad mood and that's usually a bad mood album for me. I definitely find myself favoring FHTI and MICF when I'm feeling miserable. There's just something about their lyrics and sound that capture flawlessly my discontent.

Used to be one of my favorite bands. I even liked a lot of Crimson, but I didn't even bother buying Agony & Irony because what I heard was so mediocre for them. I'm still thinking of giving it more of a chance, but eh. I swear 2003 was filled with solely Good Mourning and STS.

WIDE EYED, KNEE DEEP IN SURPRISE. JUST BELOW YOUR THIGHS THE TEMPERATURE'S UP FIVE DEGREES. YOUR STANDBY FLIGHT HAS JUST ARRIVED. Alkaline Trio was my favorite band from when I was 12 up until pretty recently. I was really disappointed by both Crimson and Agony & Irony, but I still love the old stuff obviously. I've seen them live eight times and have a shitton of completely unnecessary merchandise.

I might be the only one here, but I haven't disliked any Alk3 album so far.
My next tattoo will probably be a book of matches in front of a can of kerosene.

I thought Agony was great, despite the change in sound, and I totally don't get the Crimson hate, because I don't see where it sounds or feels any different than any other Trio record.

I don't think it did. I thought there was going to be some news on the video and next thing I know, they're off Epic Records and already writing a new album. My expectations are very high for the new album considering it's self released and Matt Allison is producing it.
