Training camp starts in a couple days so I think it's an appropriate time to start the thread. Discuss your team, smack talk, make predictions, etc. I'm still working on mine.

I have really torn feelings on how I think the Cowboys are going to do. Our defense has improved enormously since the start of last season, and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with the offense, we just have some execution issues. I think we'll win the division fairly easily; the Eagles and Redskins are rebuilding with new QBs, and the Giants have a lot of problems as well. Normally, I would say that all of this would spell out to an NFC championship game appearance, but our non-divisional schedule is a fucking nightmare. We play the Colts, Saints, Packers, Vikings, and Texans (who I think will be a playoff team this year). I think we can win three of those, but it's going to be rough.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys won the East. I kind of see the rest of that division on the same level. Redskins improved a lot but their O-line is still in question and Haynesworth is going to be a big distraction all year. I really don't know what the Eagles see in Kolb and the Giants defense still has problems even with the addition of Antrelle Rolle.
The NFC should come down to the Cowboys, Saints, Packers and Vikings, imo. The Saints have nearly the same team as last year but other teams got better so I think they'll have some contention. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Falcons win the South if they stay healthy.

Yeah, I think the Falcons are going to rebound big time this year.

The only reason they didn't win it last year was because Matt Ryan and Michael Turner went down and they still finished at 9-7. Getting Dunta Robinson helps their secondary a lot too since it was awful last year. It's going to suck for the Panthers though, haha.

Oh my god, I swear if I hear one more bullshit story about Dez Bryant I'm gonna stab someone in the eye. I know I sound like a martyr here, but the media will seriously find any excuse to talk shit on the Cowboys, especially since they had such a quiet offseason. The guy hasn't played a single fucking down yet, but I've already read columns saying that he's "living up to his diva reputation." Really? Because he refused to carry Roy Williams' pads? The guy who's probably going to be his back-up halfway through the season? Hell, the only reason Williams did that is because he knew he'd just drop them.

Haha, I know Roy Williams got a lot of shit last season for his dropped passes but he's still good as a blocking receiver. He'll be starting. The whole Dez Bryant shit is stupid. Every team has veterans giving rookies a hard time when they first come. Pretty stupid of them just to pick on the Cowboys.
It's been all about the Bengals on ESPN the past day or so cause of TO signing there. TO and Ochocinco are going to be a headache but both can still play and be effective. TO caught about 20% of Buffalo's passes and shit, you'd have a down year too if Ryan Fitzpatrick was throwing you the ball. Plus they also have Antonio Bryant who killed for the Bucs. AFC North could be a tight race again.

Am I the only one who thinks the Jets are going to take the East from Patriots this year?

Nope. I think the Jets have been the sexy pick for everyone this year because they had a good offseason. I could see them winning that division. Miami isn't bad either.

Haha, Gailey's pretty excited to use CJ Spiller. Says he's going to use him as a back, a returner and a receiver on some plays. Too bad they already have Fred "Action" Jackson who does that pretty well. It'll probably be like last year where they force a lot of turnovers but can't do anything with the ball because Ryan Fitzpatrick is their QB.

the funniest part is the average shelf life of a rb is like what, five years? as elite as a running back spiller may be, he may be out of football by the time gailey's done rebuilding
lmao

Probably. They still need a QB, an offensive line that has some unity, a D-line, a receiver besides Lee Evans (who is probably going to leave soon anyway) and now Aaron Schobel retired. They're going to be bad for a long long time.

Getting Dunta Robinson helps their secondary a lot too hahahaha If you're counting on Dunta Robinson to be anything other than useless douchebag than you've got another thing coming.

Anything's an upgrade for Atlanta's shitty secondary.
Heard Eli got rocked yesterday. Didn't see the game, though.

So... whata week 1 thus far! Anyone catch Arian Foster running like a madman? And Michael Vick looks like he's making a move for that starting position. Fun games today!

Eagles would be dumb not to make Vick the starter after this week. Kolb looked horrible. Looked almost as bad as Matt Moore. Fuck, that Panthers game was brutal. I was glad the Giants took a knee with 2 minutes left because I didn't want to see anymore. Sam Bradford didn't look bad but I can't believe the Rams let him throw 55 times when they have Steven Jackson.

What the shit is Dallas doing? I've never such a good team make so many incredible mistakes collectively. I don't know who to blame that halftime fiasco on; it just baffles me.
Go Shanahan coached Redskins!
Also, bullshit loss for Detroit is BULLSHIT.

This is one of the most inept games I've ever watched and this is coming from someone that watched a game that had 9 combined turnovers earlier today.

Seriously. I thought the Giants/Panthers game was painful, but this? This isn't even football.
Good to see Austin Miles isn't a one-year wonder. He's such a likable guy, too.
