Turning into a typical Redskins game. They establish a lead, fail to capitalize on opponents mistakes, let their opponents back into it and they'll lose in heartbreaking fashion. Redskins wouldn't even have a TD if it wasn't for that awful playcall and fumble at the end of the half.

I want to subscribe to this game. It'll be a cult classic, it was so unbelievable. And I love that it was Williams who thought God was finally smiling his way.
Just... wow.

Horribly played game by both teams... Dallas made enough stupid mistakes that they deserved to lose but so did the Redskins. Two dropped interceptions on the same drive. It's a fitting way to end an ugly day of football.

I just hope Nick and Dave aren't taking this loss too hard. Only week 1 duders.

In happier news, I'm glad to see the Seahawks playing so well. Someone needs to show up in that division, and it sure as hell aint gonna be Arizona this year.

Ha, I picked the cardinals in my survival pool this week. That was a mistake. They won but I was planning on it being less stressful. I still think the Niners will take that division. They usually shit the bed in Seattle.

Well the Redskins do have one of the better front 7's in the league but yeah, it didn't look too good tonight. A lot of good teams played like shit today, though.

....you do know who Cleveland's QB is right? I hope you picked them in a pick 'em league and not survival.

No, it was survival. We have a ton of participants, and it usually goes long into the season. That said... ya, I totally forgot about Delhomme. >.<

Looking at the positives, though, things don't seem as bad. We didn't allow an offensive touchdown, and Romo was pretty sharp for the most part. That final drive, even if it didn't count, was very well-executed. Hell, if it weren't for all the dipshit penalties (are we EVER going to fix this? It's been a problem as long as I can remember) it could have been a blowout.

Both teams really did show signs of being contenders. If the Redskins can figure out how to rush the ball like they did towards the end, their offense might actually be well rounded. How much hope there is for that with two backs as old and beat-up as Portis and Johnson, I have no clue. And I agree, the Cowboys could have put up some numbers; if they EVER learn discipline, they'll be a top five team for sure.

Flaco finishes as a top five QB this year. Calling it early.

Garrett still needs to learn not to abandon the run game so easily.

First half the Packers looked good. Then it went to shit. They are lucky for Andy Reid's bad decisions.
Ryan Grant is out with a 'serious ankle injury' (so sayeth NFL network). ughh for how long? what is it? god damn it.
I am so excited for football. I almost don't know what to do with myself now that it's back.

Brandon Jackson and John Kuhn are both good so the Packers wont be in too much trouble.
Reid's dumbest decision was sending Bradley and Kolb back out to play after they had concussions. Eagles will probably be fined a good chunk for that.

Ya, I rescind my earlier statement. I know its the Jets, but he's all over the place. What happened to him? He looked so promising at the start of last season.

Well he's starting to get it together even if the Jets are gift wrapping this one for the Ravens. What is that 14 penalties? Jesus. A few really good completions to Boldin on this drive.

Wow... why do you even field that punt? There was a good chance of it rolling into the end zone. And then you try to be the hero sliding through your own goal? He's sooooooo lucky he didn't give up points for his team.
Jets have no offense. WTF. At least Tomlinson is in there running it well.
