Cannot wait to listen to this. The store was down for quite awhile after my instant download was ready so I haven't been able to grab it yet.
I got a regular color version, but my friend from VC in Russia paid me to get a deluxe for him, so I'll get to look at the book and stuff before sending it off which is awesome.

B9's got a bunch of sweet CDs for 3 bucks a pop until Sunday. I need to stock up on some Ruiner and Crime In Stereo until it's gone. Forever.

I pretty much hate Bridge 9/shit like that these days. Glad to have gotten past all that bullshit.

While I don't like a lot of the bands on the label, I love a select few and their webstore has some pretty sweet prices. I think I missed out on my last chance to get Give Up The Ghost merch without going to ebay, though.

Hysterics = one of my favorite hardcore bands around today, for real. If I had that demo on mp3 I would listen to it more often but that fucking tape is AWESOME. I can't wait for the 7"!

I think I missed out on my last chance to get Give Up The Ghost merch without going to ebay, though. Does Deathwish not have those couple shirts that they had anymore? Not that I really dig anything on Deathwish, haha, but those were definitely cool shirts. There was one that was pretty much a drawing of the line "I'm a sinking ship drowning by a burning bridge" that I always wanted, but fuck if I ever had money, haha.

The ending to "Arm Candy" is fucking intense.
When can we expect an Especially Heinous reunion?

Good call on the Deathwish store, thanks. I think I'm going to get the Please Die shirt.

I got two new records from A389: Pala's We Don't Exist and Pulling Teeth's Funerary. The little I heard of Pala before I got the record kinda reminded me of At The Drive-In, which is why I got it. But overall the album seems more like the new wave of screamo that's around these days. It's not terrible but I'm not in love with it either. As for Pulling Teeth, I'm not so into it. I don't get the hype it's gotten from people I usually respect from that side of hardcore. Martyr Immortal is still the best one. There are parts of this one that sound like they're trying to be Torche or Baroness or something like that. I don't like it.

thanks everyone for the nice words! and yeah, dave, we have a 6-song EP coming out on wax in august (was supposed to be july, but they got delayed at the mastering place, so we won't have them in time for tour...crap). four songs re-recorded that were on the demo, 2 new jammers. i am really excited about it, it'll be available through www.mladysrecords.com and they get pretty good distro to record stores too. <3

this probably honestly doesn't belong in the hardcore thread, but whatever, it's one of the best albums of this year, super noisy punk from Brooklyn. play this shit loud. streaming here: www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2011/06/the_men_release.htmlShittin With The Shah kills me every time, the last minute is sooo good.

I really like their music but the lyrics (at least on Street Prowl) are so bad it's almost embarrassing, haha. And I watched a video of the band and they're toootal douchebags. "That was the first time we ever saw titties!" cool story bro.

I dig it because a lot of the songs are thrashy but way too much "chugga chugga chugga" shit. MI is totally their best stuff to date.
