I don't think I've made a Clash thread yet, haha.
Best band of all-time.
of ALL TIME.

London Calling changed my life. True story.
Give 'Em Enough Rope is definitely my second favorite record by them. I think it's kind of underrated.

So much great music. Sometimes I think Clash on Broadway is the only collection of anything anyone ever needs. With the Johnny Cash Unearthed kind of nuzzling up against it affectionately.
I've been planning a 'Bankrobber' tattoo for years now, hahaha. It would be way sentimental and teetering right into the ridiculous, but there you go.

Give 'Em Enough Rope has Safe European Home on it, which is one of the best Clash songs.

Aw that's awesome, Kristin! Lyrics, or art? Or both?
I have to take pictures of my Clash tats to post later.

Yes, please! Post pics. I used to think I wanted some variation on the portrait from the 7” sleeve, haha (this was the worst of the ideas and many years old, haha. I love that record sleeve, but as a tattoo? Maybe not so much, haha). Ultimately though, it would probably be something with a rabbit and lyrics, because I love that heartbreaking ‘run, rabbit, run’ bit at the end; and even if I end up going small I could totally put it on the top of my foot or something. It could go a couple of ways. All of them potentially ridiculous, and maybe easily mistaken for a weird ‘Watership Down’ obsession, hahahaha, but still something I’d be super fond of. -- Edit: if I had to pick more favourite songs, I'd definitely go with Lost in the Supermarket, Train in Vain, Safe European Home, English Civil War, and Tommy Gun.

Looove London Calling, I actually listened to it on my drive home. I really need to get around to getting more of their stuff.

London Calling is a rich experience, nearly every time I listen to it I find something I hadn't heard before. Like the guitars in Jimmy Jazz are just out of tune.
The Card Cheat is so good.

just downloaded the live album from here to eternity. can't find the CD. one of the few Cd's i know i still have. at least i don't recall selling it. many of the songs on super black market clash are fanfuckingtastic as well. i used to have three clash shirts. black London calling long sleeve, olive green self titled shirt, and the one with the only band that matters on the back. can't fucking find any of them i am searching high and low for the London calling long sleeve on ebay. i need that again in my life.

What do you guys think of Cut the Crap? I hesitated to listen to it for a long time because it's not really The Clash without Mick Jones, but I still love that album a lot. I just think of it as being by another band, and I don't think Joe Strummer could put out anything that I wouldn't love.

I actually really love some songs off of cut the crap. "We are the Clash" is one of my favorite songs by The Clash off of any album.

Whoa, really? It's one of my least favorites, partially because it's so ridiculous for a non-Mick band to have a song with "We are the Claaaaash." Actually though, it is a damn good song besides those parts.
