I just never found him the least bit interesting because he existed solely as an agent provocateur, and had nothing going on besides that relationship with Rachel that, like most things on this show, never went anywhere.

I liked Jesse last season a lot, but now I just don't see why he's on the show.
I also can't even bring myself to have any feelings towards Finn. Like, he is absolutely one hundred percent uninteresting to me.

I guess I was more of a fan of his role in the last season too. I don't really understand why he was brought back in for these last couple of episodes either, since his attempt to "make things up" to Rachel didn't really seem genuine or effective. Oh well. Maybe Jonathan Groff just needed some cash.

I was watching last night's SNL and had a thought: Replace Will with Justin Timberlake. It would be approximately 1000x more awesome.

10 minutes in and this is already fucking ridiculous. Will is the only chaperone on this NYC trip, and leaves a bunch of high school kids unsupervised for (presumably) hours at a time. Seriously?

Ha, this was one of those episodes where you know what would happen just by looking at the clock. There was like 10 minutes left in the show when they posted the finalists list, so there wouldn't have been enough time for more performances and/or a celebration after.
Actually, I didn't hate this one. I think I like Rachel a lot more than other people do. She always puts herself out there and doesn't mince words about what she wants or who she is, and I like that about her character. Even though her relationship with Finn is the most boring part of the show, the fact that they've started to make it more about whether he fits into her plans for her future actually makes it rather compelling. Too bad Finn has the personality of a grapefruit.
I also really enjoyed the scene between Brittany and Santana at the end.

Rachel could go away and never come back and I would throw a party. When she and Kurt ran around together and did New Yorky things it was cute, though.
Santana is so hot, judas priest.

I was glad for Mercedes and Sam at the end, but that's a relationship I actually would have been interested in seeing develop. I feel like we missed out. But oh well, hopefully more of them next season?

Season 2 as a whole was just really weak, but Kurt's storylines were the main things that kept my interest. And Brittney/Santana.
I feel like Season 3 is off to a much stronger start. The focus is back on storyline and the songs support the story, rather than the other way around. And the other characters are finally getting some attention. And they're finally finishing on an actual story point/mild cliffhanger rather than the song so I'm enjoying it way more than I used to.
Still some problems, but I'm impressed with the improvements so I'll let it slide for now. Also really dug how they worked in the first Glee Project kid, so looking forward to seeing what they do for the others.

I made it halfway through the first episode of this season, and the only thing I dug about it was the bratty girl from Stick It (yes, I saw that movie AND LIKED IT) doing her god-awful version 'Big Spender'. I hear Shue didn't let her in? Bummer.

As much as I complain, I'm actually really enjoying season 2. I have no shame.
EDIT: Although towards the end of season 2 it's all starting to re-hash the same plotlines.
EDIT: I still fucking hate Jesse St. James oh my goodness.

I need Sam to appear and not be a creep. Which is probably unlikely given what they've done to Damien and how much Samuel likes to just stare at people.
And yeah, I really hope they don't make Santana sing that piece of crap. I do like that she and Mercedes are getting more songs now, though. That last mash up they did was absolutely killer. And I'm not going to lie, I loved it when they did Candyman.

Who the fuck is this walking Irish stereotype? Why is he only wearing green? Why does he know absolutely nothing about America? Are we supposed to believe he lives in a country with no outside media?
He's singing It's Not Easy Being Green what in the actual fuck Glee so far this is the worst character I have ever seen.

I'm catching up and I'm on episode 4. This whole "Irish kid granting wishes" is the single worst way to push a story forward that I have ever seen on television. This is a terrible episode and I'm only 26 minutes in. Puck adorably trying to stop Quinn's baby madness is the only redeeming feature.

The Irish kid is one of the winners of the Glee project and the way they've written him in is awful. He was a really sweet, funny kid. Now they've made him creepy and annoying and yeah. Walking stereotype. I'm afraid of what they'll do to the other winner. Suspect they're going 'cool Christian' though I'm concerned of what they think that means.
Also it pisses me off because when you heard their ideas for writing in a bunch of the prospectives on the Glee project they're just SUCH BAD WRITERS. And there's only three of them and they just need to expand their pool because the same problems keep cropping up. You can't be a key creative, editor, showrunner and writer when you have no idea how to look at your own work critically. Also, look at how they write women. Urgh.
And Artie asking about Beiste's sex life, wth. She should have backhanded the little creep.
I dunno. I feel like they have the makings of what could be a really fun, really poignant show somewhere in here, but they have no idea how to structure story arcs or write characters whose personalities are consistent yet grow organically.
That said I'm still watching it haha.
Oh, and apparently Jesse St. James is coming back. Again. For a reason nobody can think of.

Yeah, I keep watching it and getting angry with it, but still watching it. I think mainly because I fucking love Santana. Although I don't understand why she's so awful to Finn, I feel like I must have forgotten a huge swathe of drama somewhere.
I used to think Finn was a really irritating character, but I actually think he's just awful by association with Rachel. The stories he gets are normally pretty good. Like you say, it has all the potential to be a really great show, and they keep fucking it up.
The Adele mash-up was amazing and I don't even like Adele. This new girls' Glee club is awesome, Santana and Mercedes 4evr.

Also what was with Kurt deciding to use his honesty platform to put an end to DODGEBALL?
'Hi, this school has a very real, very serious bullying problem which I and several of my friends have been victim of, but rather than focus on that let's eradicate this mean sport we've never mentioned before but which is apparently a thing now! Oh, and lets totally keep the school slushie machines because the students totally aren't abusing them for the aforementioned bullying. Yep. Dodgeball.'
And then Rachel is moved to tears because yeah. Fuck dodgeball.

I think he will be, I've been talking about the guy with my producer and we're pretty sure he's going to be a star. We're sort of hoping to book him for our feature before he realises he can do better.
