I got Alana Mortal Kombat X for Christmas, we're currently in a race to see who gets good at it first.

MKX is very easy to be good at, just play Tempest Kung Lao or Kobo Jutsu Tanya.

The new Minecraft update for Xbox One is pretty sweet, I have been able to play quite a bit at my buddy's house. We had like 5 people on the other night and got a huge inverted pyramid built and we have a pretty huge mine going now. Too addicting.

Got back into Battlefront because I wanted to try the new Jakku maps and the new Turning Point mode. Got stuck with some really shitty matchmaking though; I was getting killed by weapons that are unlocked at twice my level. And don't even get me started about how you could get the most powerful blaster in the game just by buying the Deluxe version. That's EA for you, though.

Battlefront's matchmaking for PC makes it unplayable. I've only been able to get in like 3 or 4 games total since buying it. Compare that to Black Ops 3 (which is actually the best COD in forever, BTW) where I can get a game in any mode immediately and that means BF doesn't get any play time.

If you like Pokemon and/or Rick and Morty, you need to be playing Pocket Mortys.

I think I've burnt myself out. I still haven't fisished Metal Gear 5/Witcher 3/Fallout 4. I love all three of them, but shit I might just be jaded on open world. Like, it's chill that there's so much to do, but holy shit, I'm like 80 hours in each of them and no where near the story completion. (eh, in witcher I'm just at the "you should save here this is the end") but just like, I don't have the drive to finish any of them and it's a huge bummer.

And like, Metal Gear just never feels like a Metal Gear game to me and I'm just disconnected. With the Witcher I think I just spend too much time witching. Fallout, I just give 0 shits about any faction except the one I know I'm not siding with and I can't be damned to go on I think. Blarb.

That happened to me a couple years ago. I can never finish a game now and hardly ever play. I can't even remember the last time I turned my 360 on.

Part of why I don't deal much with open world games, James. I like games that have stories. Something with a start and a definitive finish. I like to know/feel like I've "beaten" or finished a game.

Yeah. Witcher is the one of the three that has a killer story, I think I just dicked around too long.

Yeah, open world games can go either way for me. Sometimes I like the fact that I get to keep playing longer. Sometimes I feel like I'm just doing chores. It's hard to focus on the main story, though, when I'm fucking around with side quests.

Shoot, I'd be the exact same way. Since I have a Wii U I miss out on all these huge games people get stoked on and talk about nonstop, and I thought about buying something for my lappy to get in on it, but I'd probably burn myself out trying to do every possible side quest before getting anywhere near the end. Should still give one a shot though, I'm definitely missing out.

What's funny is Xenoblade X (this one is on Wii U Katie) is my current favorite game and it's an open world game, haha. And I've pretty much been more focused on exploring rather than doing the main story. Open world games are pretty much the next FPS, so, they'll be around for awhile. I've thought about playing Witcher 3, but I don't know if I want to travel down that rabbit hole yet. I still need to play the first 2.
Hey Nick, did you play Arkham Knight?

Nope. It came with my PS4 bundle but I haven't touched it. I was actually asking Avon cause he can be Batman Batfan, but I appreciate your answer as well, haha. I've been enjoying it except for the abundance of tank battles (which was the main complaint from people). The tank battles slow everything down. Story wise, I'm really liking it. Didn't know where they'd take the story after City. There are a lot of references to main comic arcs as well, which is cool.

It's throughly worth playing. Great, great story. The voice acting is top notch. It's a fun punch em up, and the batmobile is a damn blast.

my PS4 died before I could finish MGS and The Witcher and FO4 has been just kinda chilling on my desktop hard drive. i got like 20 hours into FO4 and it's been sitting on my computer unplayed. however, i've been playing a lot of Black Ops 3 online which is shockingly fun.

I still haven't played Arkham Knight. I'm waiting for a price drop. Like a biiiiiig one.
I'm currently playing that newest Killzone and tbh I don't like it at all. I just figured I'd play it since it was free. I still have Tomb Raider which I haven't touched yet. I want to get the Uncharted trilogy but waiting for a significant price drop on that too. I'll play those games over and over and over.

the Uncharted series is one of my favorite game series of all time. The new Tomb Raider was actually pretty stellar.

I still haven't played Arkham Knight. I'm waiting for a price drop. Like a biiiiiig one. Got it for 17 with season pass because Amazon dun goofed during Black Friday sales. Started getting back into Phantom Pain after taking break once I finished Chapter 1. I get the complaints of Chapter 2, but I like some of the ties/references to the other games that have shown up in this chapter.

Yeah, I need that kind of price drop. I bought City and Origins on the day they came out but they both dropped like crazy a year after. You can get Asylum and City for like $13.

Got anything else for PS4 you're looking to get rid of? Yeah actually, a lot. The Witcher 3, GTA V, Wolfenstein and some others I'd have to check once I get home. My PS4 is broken so I haven't been using it at all. I think I just need to replace the hard drive but I still may sell the actual console after that and just go all PC.
