With the amount of geeks/nerds, I don't see why this hasn't been made yet.
My fiance is thinking of getting a PS3 soon. Price is down to $299.

Today I finally played Kingdom Hearts II for the first time. I played for six hours, straight.
Kingdome Hearts, for some reason, did not fail to get me completely immersed in the story, and be totally attached to it.
I'm a PS2 and GBA guy, the only other games I play are FFX and X-2 Tony Hawk PS 3 Golden Sun I and II Rollercoaster Tycoon American McGee's Alice.
I'm not quite old but not quite new school.

I've really been wanting to finish Mirror's Edge lately. What a frustrating game.

Currently addicted to TF2, still. Playing through Silent Hill Homecoming but Gorramnit I hate the combat system so much!
Still, Project Ico's new game, when announced, will be the death of my over-draft.

I am terrible at video games, but I get pumped watching people play them. I watched my boyfriend play Silent Hill: Homecoming for hours. He's actually waiting until I go stay at his house to play it again, haha.
I ruled ass at Spyro, though.

Maaaaan. I want to play the new Final Fantasy games so bad but I just can't justify buying a $300 system for two games, maybe 3. I'm just not that interested in the other PS3 games. I think I remember reading somewhere that the PS3 isn't backwards compatible...is this true?
I am, however, finally breaking down and getting a 360 after the first of the year. I was fighting it for a while because we already have so many systems (two PS2's, a Wii, a Gamecube, a Dreamcast, a GBA and a DS) but I just can't deny it anymore.
Lately I've been playing the fuck out of Mario Party 5-7. I ruled JD's ass on some Marvel vs Capcom 2 last night. And I really think I'm gonna pick up either Twilight Princess or Ocarina again...my life is kinda weird without some Zelda in it.

I think I really need to play these games all the way through, because apparently lots of people enjoy them as part of the Final Fantasy series, but, of what I've played of them, they weren't remotely interesting. I couldn't really get into FFVIII and FFXII either. Maybe it's just the increasing trend of incredibly one dimensional characters. I just can't get behind that. Most of the emotional reactions in the final fantasy games these days just seem like play actors; completely over dramatic and shallow in spectrum. Which ruins any immersion into the storyline. (The Final Fantasy series is my favorite series of games, so I'm highly critical of it.)

FFXII just really was a terrifically dull game. I gave up at about 24 hours worth of play time because the gameplay bored me silly.

Kind of sad that I am more emotionally involved with scrolling text than I am with cut-scenes.
Also, another complaint with the newer games, I think the realism is killing it. As for the 3D characters, I like the goofy, disproportionate sprites of FFVII and FFIX way more. (Maybe because I grew up on FFIV and FFVI, which were full of 'em, and it just seems perfect.)
Me too, Marc. I couldn't finish 12 either.

I would like to talk to Andre about Full Throttle, as suggested in his profile.
What a game.

Also Wolfenstein on the 360 is the most bug-filled game I've played since Frogger. I've come so close to punting my controller onto the tram tracks outside on numerous occasions because of this turd.

I'm in desperate need of AAA batteries so I can go through a Guitar Hero marathon this weekend.
Shit, I'm in desperate need of Rock Band for that matter.

Absolutely none of you need to play X-2, honestly. Just watch the movie sequences on Youtube and save yourself some time.

I tried completing X-2 a second time to get 100% and unlock the secret ending. I got closer to this than it was really worth, but I still got so sick of it. I thought it was fine on the first play through, and I thought the whole dress sphere system was kind of neato if... oddly executed. The second time through was absolutely dire though.
Saying that, I'm going to replay FFX on a PS2 emulator I just downloaded. I adored that game. Which means I suck, I know, but it was great.

Keen for New Super Mario Bros 2.
But generally, if it has more than 64 bits, i don't play it.

You've just reminded me, albeit in a kind of tangential way, Ben, of how much they fucked up the battle mode in Mario Kart Wii compared to the awesomeness of the N64 version. fuck, that shit has lead to some incredibly heated, epic lunch breaks for me at work this summer. Although the race mode in the Wii version is a lot more fun.

Yup, Mario Kart on N64 was all about battle, i dont ever remember having multiplayer races, just falling off that fucking skyscraper a million times. And you've just reminded me that i added Lauren and Jose in Mario Kart but we never managed to race each other, and that makes me sad .
