I think I'ma hit up some L4D tonight before The Office. I'm so excited for the sequel next month. The new special zombies sound fucking awesome. L4D was fun, but I'm not so sure that the sequel will be able to keep my attention. I think it'll be too similar to the original, and therefore not worth buying. I really want to play Borderlands though. That game looks mad fun. I don't know, it sounds like there will plenty of variation this time around. There's lots of new weapons (including melee weapons), new special zombies, "uncommon" zombies that are unique to certain maps, and the setting is much different (daytime, finally!). I think it'll be worth the money.

Gamestop actually has a training video for how to sell video games to women. Women meaning one of two things, somebody's girlfriend or somebody's mom.

Really, as stoked as I am on L4D, it got old pretty quick. Like the basic framework of the game prevents it from having too much replayability. I think the game is awesome, but really I just can't play it very often. I think its biggest issue is how seriously everybody takes it. If you make the slightest mistake you have three 13 year olds berating you until you begin to cry/question your whole life.
I still have a free copy of TF2 to give out to any takers, for the record. Yknow.

The thing about L4D is once you've completed it you really have little incentive for another play through apart for the achievements. I mean, there's next to no story line for most of the game and the combat is pretty samey for all the enemies - shoot them. Been playing lots of COD4 online lately. Been neglecting poor TF2

At least versus mode is pretty fun. Playing as the zombies was always the best part. It almost never got old. The only downside was having to play as the survivors.

I was thinking of playing through Half-Life again at some point - so much better than the sequel!

I've spent a sizable chunk of today playing Uncharted 2. It's fucking fantastic, easily one of the best single player experiences I've ever had. Everything about it is so... high quality. The graphics, the animation (the detail is amazing - it's like watching real actors that have been digitised, people drum their fingers on bottles, the expressions on their faces... perfect). The dialogue's great, the voice acting is some of the best I've ever heard by and large. The gameplay is as good as the last one but... more? The set pieces are even better, the stealthy bits are perfect, and you move around like a goddamn monkey on steroids. Awesome.

Fuck, I wish I could afford a PS3. FF13 looks so good. It's being released on Xbox too. Not sure if you own one but yeah I already put my money down for it the other day. I've been waiting forever for this.

Uncharted2 is making me paranoid. Anything you climb will fall/break-off because it can.

When I go into a store for a video game, I know what I'm looking for. And we usually have to buy two copies of games between my boyfriend and I, because we don't share well.

November is going to be such a fucking awesome month. For those who can afford new games, at least I just got Dead Space and Viva Pinata. Viva Pinata is sooo addicting.

I bought Demon's Souls on a bit of a whim. Goddamn I forgot just how unforgiving an RPG can be. This game is a real return to the way dungeon crawling roleplaying games were meant to be.
Oh, you made a mistake and died? Too fucking bad. You lose all of your experience points. And you start at the very beginning of the dungeon. And all the enemies have respawned.
Surprisingly, it's not as infuriating as it sound. It's kind of nice to have a really simple game to play. It's very reawrding too.

Just downloaded the first Fallout and started playing it today. I wasn't sure how much I would like it, but I'm having a lot of fun playing it so far.

So apparently Modern Warfare 2 isn't going to have any dedicated servers for PC. I can see this going wrong for Infinity Ward...

I've been on a huge Pokemon kick lately. It's actually getting pretty bad. Pokemon Platinum is probably the most addicting game I've ever played. You know it's sad, when you play a Gameboy game over games like TF2, Counter Strike Source, and every single gametap game.

One of my floormates got FIFA10 from Gamefly. I'm considering picking up my own copy, it's super fun.

Another World is one of my favorite games, I've never been able to beat it though. I finally broke down and watched the ending on youtube.
