I really don't get what was so great about CoD4, and with IW butchering the PC version (and charging $10 more for it) I'll be passing on this one.

I've been told it's only £26 at Sainsbury's anyway, so fuck the midnight launch, 2 weeks of food is worth the 8 hour wait.

The reason it's so great, is because there are no real great FPSs like it. From what I've seen, its the most realistic shooter for the consoles. What else do you have for Xbox 360? Halo 3 and Gears of War?

I'll pick it up eventually. I've got Borderlands for now. If everyone deserts every other game on Live for it I'll probably pick it up. I know people on my floor will get it though, a ton of us have 360s and PS3s.

I don't have anything to really contribute on the cool video game front, but somehow, I started playing one of those stupid online games earlier today and ended up downloading the full version. It's one of those hidden object games called "Lost in the City." I quite liked it, so I figured what, an hour tops, yeah?
3 hours later it's still going and I just want to go to sleep. Damn this thing. It's nice, though.

I barely got any sleep last night. Not my fault either. Fuck MW2.

MW2 is ridiculous, yet is rather good. Varied enough not to get boring, but still a solid FPS.

How long's the single player campaign?

How long's the single player campaign? I thought it looked pretty weak when I saw the trailer for it. CoD is all about the multiplayer now anyway. About the PS3 thing. I've always had a slight urge to get one, but I don't think I could survive without xbox live. Not just because it's executed better, but because all of my friends play it. I'm a big multiplayer fanatic. Edit: Shit. I totally read that as "How's the single player campaign." Oops.

I can't honestly think of a great reason to have a 360 above a PS3 any more, unless you're an absolutely huge Halo fanatic. I don't see how Xbox live is really any better executed than PSN to be honest either. It doesn't even have a proper web browser, does it? You can't watch BBC iplayer on a a 360, but you can on a PS3 (obviously, this doesn't apply to non-UK citizens, but still.)

How long's the single player campaign? A Gametrailers.com video said about 6-10 hours depending on difficulty.

So about the same as the first one then, sounds like. That's not too bad, at least it's not shorter. I really wish developers would quit screwing people who like single player, though.

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix is SO FUCKING HARD. And is a bit lame without an arcade stick. Getting a hadouken off is trying at the best of times. And a shoryuken? Barely ever happens.

How long's the single player campaign? Took me 7 hours on Hardened, with quick breaks for food etc. I have sunk 16 hours into that fucking game today, and I've pretty much got about as far in it as I have in COD4 over the last few months, haha.

Ah. I understand now. My vote would go to the Elder Scrolls series then. Love that series, but it's not got a patch on the Bioware stuff (DA and BG1&2). Story in DA is so so so so much better done, and the character interaction, and the impact of your actions on the gameworld.

I guess I don't really like the whole 3rd person aspect. I did enjoy a game for the PS2 though. It was called Champions of Norrath. Supposed to be similar to Baulder's Gate.
