I think the auto draft picked better shit than I would have.
I ended up with Mauer, Cano, and Longoria. Yikes. Is Shannon in on that shit? If so, I'm surprised she didn't get Mauer first pick.

I don't think Shannon's in the league. Kind of surprised she didn't join in considering she's one of the few people who post in that thread.
I love my team. I waited on pitchers and still ended up with Lee, Lester, Weaver and Carpenter. All while snagging Tulo and Wright in the first two rounds, haha. This is going to be a fun league.

Yeah, I saw Weaver on your roster. I figured that most of the people in the league aren't as familiar with the AL as you and me. He's super consistent and a great steal.
My pitching ended up mostly junk, but I won't complain. My top SP is Cole Hamels. Haha. And I have K-Rod on there.
I ended up with 4 Dodgers and 0 Angels. WTF? Thanks, Yahoo.

You could probably snag a pitcher off the waiver wire since there's a few good ones available. Buccholz, Kuroda, Danks.

First time going to opening day. Dodgers' fans can be really shitty, especially when the Giants are in town, but I'd say this was mostly a bout of fun natured ribbing, which is a pleasant change. I forgot how tedious epic pitchers duels are in person. I've never seen so many Ks in my life!

Dodgers and Angels fans keep getting shittier and shitter. In fact, somehow Angels fans have eclipsed Dodgers fans.

Kershaw was awesome yesterday.
O's first game is tonight. Let the frustration and disappointment begin! ;D

Last two Angels games I attended were vs. Dodgers and vs. Red Sox in the playoffs, the latter I dressed for in Boston red and got only good humored scolding. Last two Dodgers games I attended were both vs. the Giants, the first of which was really bad. They threw a ton of shit at orange and black clad patrons, but those guys kept egging things on, so who knows. Fans are just shitty sometimes.

There's not a lot of tension between I's and Nats fans but both teams sucking has a lot to do with that. The only Nationals fan I know that hates the O's is Jarmes.
Guthrie was fantastic tonight. Hope the bats start to come around, though because the pitching's not going to be that good all season. It was against a lefty and a damn good one in Price, though. The news about Matusz bums me out. We'll have to call-up Britton prematurely now.
Watched a few games today. Poor 'Stros. Lyon went back to his Arizona days there.

I work at a store that sells nothing but baseball hats and they won't let us change the radio to listen to the fucking game.
Anyway, awesome opening weekend so far for the Jays.

I want to buy a new 5950 but I have a hard time justifying spending $20-30 on a cap.

Sn Angels "fan" stabbed a Dodger fan last year... and I think it was only exhibition still.

Oh. I have a Lids card and the discount makes it a little less than thirty. They're regularly priced at about $34.99.
How 'bout them Rays?!?! That lineup sure looks a lot less threatening without Longoria. Hellickson pitched well for awhile, though. 10 K's but couldn't get out of the 6th inning.

Shit eh, I didn't know you had Lids in the states. That's where I work. It looks like Jays and Orioles might not finish at the bottom of the division this year. Hell yeah.

There's one in pretty much every mall. I usually stop by whenever I'm home to see if there's anything I want.
Haha, only 5 games in but it would be amazing if we could surprise the league. The O's offense hasn't quite come around and Bergesen got rocked tonight, which I expected. Injuries to Guthrie and Matusz might put us in a rut, too.

I need more free time 'cause I haven't had a chance to edit my team yet. Having Longoria on there is killing me.
Yeah dude, Lids is everywhere in the States.

Well, I just picked up Howie Kendrick to soften the blow but I'm going to need to find another outfielder or drop one of my infielders now. Surprised with the year he's having so far.
Also glad that Wieters finally had a big night at the plate.

God dammit. I added Howie Kendrick like a week ago. Apparently I don't know how to add people. I guess we're even.

Heads up, Ken Burns' Baseball (including the 10th Inning) is on Netflix. Watched the whole thing (save the extra inning) preseason. Pretty much the best historical recount of anything I've ever seen.

God damn, Kershaw and Verlander are unstoppable! I like that the Cy Young races are no longer interesting but MLB.com keeps trying to play it off like either of those dudes has competition. Like, Kennedy and Weaver are both pitching great, but neither is competition. Same with Halladay, Lee, and Sabathia.
Also, it's weird but I think that the top 2 candidates for AL ROTY are Trumbo and Walden. Trumbo absolutely deserves it, in my opinion. I think Bourjous qualified as rookie last year or he'd be in Top 3. God damn the Angels young talent. Sayonara soon Abreu, Wells, Hunter.
