Figured I should make this thread for the hell of it since we have some college football fans here. Opening weekend's been kind of dull. A bunch of smaller schools getting cockslapped by BCS teams. Hoping the later games are better. Jacksonville St-Ole Miss is in 2OT right now, though.

72-0 Oregon win today. Holy crap. Our defense looks awesome.

I have a feeling that this year the PAC-10 title is going to come down to one of our respective teams, Claire.

I was really bummed about having to work during the Oregon game. But decided that I would watch OSU and cheer for them since the ducks won their game and I was feeling major football love today. I was happy about them doing good at the beginning but at the end, I actually felt bad for them. Normally I only cheer for the beavers when they play USC so to actually be feeling bad for them losing was a really weird feeling.

72-0 Oregon win today. Holy crap. Our defense looks awesome. I felt so bad for the Lobos when I saw the score of that game. 59-0 at halftime. I have no idea why, but I have a soft spot for Mountain West teams. TCU-Oregon St was awesome last night. So was Washington-BYU.

I have a feeling that Chip Kelly really came down hard on the team after all the bullshit so many players pulled this last years. I'm glad that he booted Masoli. What a punk. Our new QB didn't look half bad yesterday.

Navy/Maryland tomorrow. I'm very excited for that.
Next week should be awesome. Georga/South Carolina, Ohio St/Miami, Bama/Penn St, FSU/Oklahoma.

Geaux Tigers. It's too bad we're in a place where 9-4 is a lackluster season, but here's hoping we beat it this year.

Didn't look too good yesterday, Tim Jones. They kept trying to blow that game against a team missing most of its defense. Boo! I do feel bad for Les Miles, though. He just won a title a few years ago, how can people be talking about replacing him already? This is the best time of the year. The only bad part is UH won't be playing any top 10 programs this year, and thus will get no run for having one of the most exciting offenses in football. What are you going to do? Also:

What a fucking sloppy game from Navy. They were in the red zone six times and fumbled twice, missed a FG and stopped on 4th and goal. They fully deserved to lose. Maryland's running game looked amazing for the first few drives then their offense kind of died. Terps D gave up 421 rushing yards and only 14 points haha.

Yep.
Was a great game even with the bad penalties and special teams gaffes. I think both schools were having a contest on who could design an uglier uniform, too.

Anyway, people are super fickle here I guess, it seems like most of the fans expect us to win the championship over and over again which is odd because no team has won back to back yet. The only problem I've ever had with Miles is last year's bowl game when we were up two touchdowns and he called a fake punt which we scored on. What a dick.

Go Oregon? I'm so bummed BSU lost. I don't feel like going for TCU.

Go Oregon indeed. Auburn is not ready for that. No team is ready for that.
My Tigers move up to 4 now, will probably be stomped if we have to play TCU.

The last part of that Boise State and Nevada game was INSANE. I thought there was NO WAY that guy could miss that last field goal in regulation. NO WAY. I was halfway to turning my TV off when he missed it. So crazy. And my Auburn Tigers rallied and it was awesome. It's always fun to beat Alabama, especially at Tuscaloosa.

Coming back from 24-0 is pretty amazing. Good on Auburn. I still don't think they'll be able to beat Oregon in the championship, if it comes down to that, though.

I really wanted to see a Boise/Oregon NC game since it looks like an awesome matchup on paper. Part of me is glad they lost because I have a feeling the BCS people would stick us with another Boise/TCU game again, which would be pointless. I really hope TCU doesn't get paired up with whoever comes out of the Big East. Speaking of which, people are always complaining about how the mid majors don't belong in BCS games and yet fucking 6-4 UCONN has a chance at a BCS bid. Same with the ACC and I follow that goddamn conference.

I can't wait for the Civil War and then the bowl games. Man. It is so much fun being a Duck right now. I just hope things don't turn out like they did last year at the Rose Bowl, wherein Oregon totally shat the bed and embarrassed themselves.

I was halfway to turning my TV off when he missed it. Everybody hated the kicker before the game. I feel bad for him. His last home game is next week and he's going to get booed off the field.

It was really sad to see Boise State lose last night. It's been kind of a sad college football season all around. Whenever the biggest story every week has been about some dirtbag kid getting paid to play college football for one season, you know it's kind of a mediocre year. Makes you miss the running story of last year, Florida v. Alabama/the two best programs of the past decade going into the SEC Title Game undefeated.
GoThunda, if Oregon makes the title game and no one jumps over TCU in the rankings the BCS is obligated to put them (TCU) in the Rose Bowl against the Big 10 champion.

I meant single season. I think those two programs, last year, were the best two teams we've seen all decade.
And LSU's first championship almost belongs to Bama, since it attributable mostly to Nick Saban. ;-)

I could dig that. I feel kind of bad for MSU though. LSU losing today made things even more of a clusterfuck.
