I've only read 1-5 and still kicking myself that I haven't picked up the other two yet. But its been so long now that I'd have to re-read the series again to remember exactly what has happened (even though I can remember a good amount, and the general storyline of each book). My friends and I in third grade used to pick up twigs and cast real spells at each other like wands. Also, my second grade teacher was the first person to introduce the books to me when she read some in front of the class and said, "Now, a lot of parents don't like these books because they don't like their kids believing in witchcraft." I hated her then, but I feel like I would've loved her now. Also: Did anyone not hate Dobby during the second book? He was a complete twat.

2nd and 3rd grade is when you started reading them?! Oh my god I feel really old. I got into them in college. I was a freshman in high school when they came out.

My 360 is broken so I can't play Lego Harry Potter. I'm devastated! I was so looking forward to playing when it came out.

I started listening to the audiobooks because of Mark's thing, because I am a horrible pirate. I can't remember where the first three books (I think) are so I figured I'd just download them in audiobook form. They're pleasant to listen to, and animate the story well.

Haha, the first one has an AOL keyword on it. Holy old. Haha. Reminds me of the days of getting millions of free AOL trial cds. That and the days of it taking 10+ minutes to load one image on the internet. But, that was back in like 95 or 96. Fuck, I'm old. But, I'm so stoked for this(these) movie(s)!

I love Harry Potter. I finished the last 3 books before you ever got your hands on them at all thanks to an unscrupulous family member.
but this will always be my favourite thing about Harry Potter.

It's almost sad. Even though his reviews are awesome, not being able to tear through the entire book in a day or so would get so annoying. Especially when you reach the end and everything is falling into place and you just want to keep going and you can't because you have to stop..yeah.

I don't know... I think stretching it out also maximizes the enjoyment of the read, especially when he has a forum (his own, at that) to vent his thoughts on the book mid-read.

I'm glad that (pretty much) everyone isn't posting spoilers or potential spoilers anymore for him. I really can't wait until he gets to Goblet of Fire. That and Prizoner of Azkaban are my two favorite HP books.

So I rented Lego Harry Potter since my little cousins were in town. Less than 5 minutes into it one of them hits the Xbox on accident and I got the dreaded circle scratch on the disk and it's now unplayable.
