I'm watching HBP right now and seeing DH tomorrow with the family. They couldn't find a better Ginny than Bonnie Wright? Her acting is so lifeless.

I really liked the way they handled the Hedwig scene...When Hedwig first appeared, half of the theater just kind of let out a sad sigh because we all knew it was coming.
God, just watching Hedwig crumple and fall after she knocked that death eater out of the way was almost harder than the scene in the book. Poor, brave Hedwig.
I really was not a fan of the Dobby death scene though, but I think that mostly comes from never liking any of the House Elves in the movies. They always come off to me as a bit Jar Jar Binks-ish to me. I can't wait to see what they do with the goblin conversation

I enjoyed it for the most part but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did HBP even though HBP wasn't as accurate, because I read DH over again so I was constantly comparing it to the book. It was still great, even if it wasn't perfect. I expected I would cry a lot and I didn't cry as much as I thought I would. It started within the first like, 5 minutes, and then happened every 20 minutes or so afterwards. At the end, though, I was literally, audibly sobbing and then I laughed at myself because I was so embarrassed. I heard a few sniffles from other people but I just fucking lost it. I'm not really ashamed though, just a little embarrassed because I was so loud and just blubbering and bawling to the point where I had to tense up and bite my lip and cover my mouth for 5 minutes until the scene had passed and I could calm down. I still can't wait to see it again!

Did they even put Charlie in any of them? And does Percy ever come back? I can't remember. I think Charlie made a small appearance in Goblet of Fire. But I don't think he was ever seen up close.

For some reason, I don't think they really let any of the characters develop(?) like they did in the books. The only part I really enjoyed in that sense was the Harry/Hermione dance scene. It was completely out of the blue and I was shocked by it at first, but really enjoyed it and understood perfectlly why they threw it in there. I was happy with the amount of comic relief they put in it. It would be such a depressing movie otherwise. I was also upset with the shortness of the time in the Manor. In the books it seemed so much more important but in the movie it seemed rushed. Hedwig The entire crowd clapped at cheered at the 'Dobby has no master' scene and at the Ron returning scene. Also, Snape's hair was quite luxiourious in the movie. Not true to the books, but it made Alan Rickman all that much sexier. I enjoyed how they explained things without going into long monologues as well. The animation scene was brilliant and so well integrated into the movie. All in all, the most true to the book movie so far. I can't friggen wait for them to do Gringotts in the next movie. EEeeeee. Also, there were a LOT of people going to the special hell reserved for people who talk in theatres during the movie. And I was ready to smack the couple next to me who kept loudly making out with each other throughout the movie.

I just want to say how awesome the twins are. I love them a little more in each movie. I loved when George sneaked through the room while Harry and Ginny were kissing. It's supposed to be this tender moment between Harry and Ginny and I couldn't help but be distracted and laugh at George. Blah. I'm stupid.

I was so sad when he came back with his ear cursed off. Edit: Going to cry so hard during part 2.

Just got back from the movie. My complaints and praises: Most of what was left out makes sense. It's gotta be rough trimming such a story, even with two movies supporting it, but they did a good job. The thing I missed most?... Probably Harry's birthday and the actual wedding. EDIT: Oh, and the Dumbledore back-story. I suspect we'll get it next movie, though; it seems rather important to Harry's character overall.
God, I was on the verge of tears almost immediately. Hermione's opening was so fucking sad.
Harry and Hermione dancing was cute as hell. The Nick Cave song was so perfect, and Harry's dance moves were ridiculously bizarre, the type of dancing you only ever do in seclusion with friends. The signals were a bit mixed, though; it was the one part I was able to watch from a mindset outside of fandom, and it was difficult deciphering the exact emotions and intentions of it all.
Horcrux Harry and Hermione (Triple H?) was incredible! Very creepy, very awesome. Nagini was insanely scary all movie long.
Dobby was handled poorly, I feel. They gave him too much dialogue that didn't feel natural, like they were desperate to make him as important as possible before he died.

I saw it again today! At Dobby's death, I got all shaky and basically cried but with no actual tears. My friend had to hold my head as it was o her shoulder. SO SAD. It was even better a second time.

I was flabbergasted that they chose a Nick Cave song for Harry Potter though, haha. Or an actual song by any well known artist.

It was a really touching scene, and I was glad that they did something that was "non-cannon" well for once. (But I have to admit that I was giggling with my friend quite a bit during it, haha)
