claire if you didn't see the hold steady i'll be pissed. so fun live. I didn't end up going due to extenuating circumstances... I'm a little pissed. I've seen them before, but still. Next time! I'm gonna see Panda Bear in Baltimore on September 12. I'm soooooo stoked. I've never seen him or even Animal Collective (edit: and Deakin's the opening act!!), ever, and I've been listening to them for years and years. I'm so excited. And then in October, Dr. Dog and Gogol Bordello are both coming to Eugene. YAY.

Panda Bear was aight. His voice sounded great, but too much of his shit was just canned. It would've been so much cooler if he had used a sampler pedal and built his guitar loops live, but he just pressed buttons. BOO, NOAH. I could've stayed home and listened to a CD.

JAPANDROIDS WAS A SUCCESS! My friend and I stood outside and watched the concert and then right when we were about to head out on our bikes, the guitarist ran out and asked if we were the kids that weren't allowed in (since it was 21+) and we were like, yeah, and he gave us free shirts. What a sweet, sweet man.

Awesome that it worked out for you dude!
Seeing Beach House tomorrow! They're opening for Vampire Weekend, and I really don't care for them that much, so I'll probably just check them out for a couple of minutes and leave. So stoked for Beach House though!

The Vampire Weekend/Beach House tour passed through Eugene a couple weeks ago, but I wasn't about to pay $45 to see Beach House. Blah. I fucking hate Vampire Weekend.
Gogol Bordello and Dr. Dog are both coming this month, I'm very excited.

Last week I saw No Age with Sonic Youth and Pavement at the Hollywood Bowl. IT WAS SO GOOD. The venue is amazing, I had never been before that. No Age was really fun. Sonic Youth was pretty awesome as well, but Pavement was amazing. Tomorrow: ARCADE FIRE. FJSKDFJSLFKDLFJGS'ALK'SDFJDF;DFJSDLKFA;
