What're you all listening to?
I was working night shifts that allowed it, so I've been listening a lot of podcasts. I've been digging a fair bit of Maximum Fun Network stuff like My Brother My Brother And Me, The Adventure Zone, Bunker Buddies, Sawbones, Still Buffering, but also a lot of audio drama-ish stuff like Ars Paradoxica, Welcome to Nightvale, Alice Isn't Dead, Tanis, Black Tapes, and Limetown. I was also on a long D&D podcast kick for a while and really want to play now.
Just curious to see what everybody else is listening to.

Pretty much the only one I listen to anymore is Bonfireside Chat, which is a Dark Souls/Bloodborne podcast. I liked Limetown, though, and I was listening to the new season of Serial for a while but I fell way behind.

That Awful Sound.
It's so good, it's a dude who has weekly guests (including Devyn!) to cover songs from the 90s that are actually terrible but we loved, tell stories about the band or the song or the music video, discuss their memories of it, then break down the music video and it's all really, really funny.

Lead Singer Syndrome has been my favorite podcast lately. It's Shane Told from Silverstein talking to a lead singer from a bunch of bands and the conversations are usually awesome even if I don't give a shit about the band they're in. Thomas from Strike Anywhere was on it last month and that episode was fantastic.

That kind of reminds me of some of the comedian hosted podcasts I used to listen to where they'd interview other comedians but just talk about life and their careers and how there are so many commonalities that come from the lifestyle. Even when I didn't give a crap about the person's comedy, it was cool to hear about the stuff that goes into the craft.
I definitely need to check that out.
I also keep thinking about doing a fictional/audio-drama podcast kind of in the vein of Alice Isn't Dead.

ben, if you ever wanted to venture outside of the mcelroys on max fun, lady to lady and baby geniuses are both pretty good too, and the flop house has its moments. I really like oh no ross and Carrie but I don't have enough attention span for it a lot of the time. also sydnee and Justin did a podcast in 2011 called losing the sheen where they just watched the season of two and a half men after Charlie sheen got killed off.
tanis and the black tapes are p good if you like stuff like limetown and Alice isn't dead. I don't think anything will ever be as good as limetown, though.

So the guys that do Bonfireside Chat also do Abject Suffering, where they play/talk about terrible video games, and Monster In My Podcast where they go through the D&D monster manual and make fun of it. I highly recommend both, you don't really have to be into D&D or games to enjoy them.

Dennis Lyxzen was on Lead Singer Syndrome this week. I'm not a huge Refused fan (I know) but the episode was awesome. They talked a lot about how much turmoil was going on between the band when they made The Shape of Punk to come and how they eventually got back together and played some reunion shows. It was also cool to hear them talk about how the band are regarded as "legends" in the scene despite no one caring about them until they were about to break up.
