Hopefully going to a Brew not Bombs concert next weekend. Defiance Ohio, This Bike is a Pipe Bomb, and many more. Plus vegan pizza. Fun times!

Mischief Brew is one of my five all-time favorite bands. So fantastic.
I'm also quite fond of Defiance, Ohio.
I never could get into the AJJ.

I dig Defiance, Ohio quite a bit but this genre hasn't clicked with me that much overall.

Defiance, Ohio were the first folk punk band i really got into... i mean AM! don't really count anymore, yeah? Though so many of their songs are hit or miss with me, though that being said, when the songs hit, they hit really fucking hard. Songs for Icarus was kind of a let down, I hope they'll have new material out in 2010...
Much love for Nana Grizol too. Such a fun album.

Mischief Brew is sooo good.
I kind of like Ghost Mice but Chris' voice gets really grating after a while.

I don't know if Paul Baribeau really counts as folk punk (I don't think he does), but other than him, I can't really listen to this genre.
Sean and I had a folk punk band once though. We had less than two days to write and record, and we pulled off 4 songs and got them all recorded. It was an awesome couple of days.
EDIT: Oh shit, Sean posted the link. Memories. <333

I knew Erik Petersen pretty well for some time. Haven't seen MB in a number of years. It got to a point where i realized every show I saw him play (which was ALL THE TIME) were just the same. It got kinda...predictable.
Ew god, nobody likes Ghost Mice, they are AWFUL. Most folk-punk bands are really terrible and I tried so hard to get into them.
Defiance, Ohio will always be an absolutely wonderful group. The Fear The Fear The Fear wasn't exactly amazing, but I still have some memorable ones on there.

The singer of Ghost Mice sounds like Mandark from Dexter's Lab.

I love Mischief Brew. "Roll Me Through the Gates of Hell" is probably one of my favorite songs of all time.

Haha, i like Ghost Mice/Captain Chaos. I definitely need to be in the mood though...
I don't think it's out yet, I'm really looking forward to it though...
Is anyone into Good Luck? I've got one of their songs from a comp and i really enjoy it, wondering if its worth tracking down the LP.

Haha totally, I downloaded the Paul Baribeau and Ginger Alford Boss covers album a few months ago and fell in love with her. If you uploaded it you'd be my favourite person ever, Copyrights/Dopamines split is great btw, thanks for being awesome. I'm going to go listen to Love it! Love it! now... Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
