This album is AMAZING. At first I thought it was a bit too long (it's nearly 80 minutes; the limit for CDs), but I keep finding things I love about it, and I think it's a strong contender for AOTY. Apparently they're planning on making a musical out of it as well (though I don't know the story quite yet, since I don't have the lyrics). Discuss!

This is a band that I don't "get".

Have you heard this album, Sean? That's how I felt about past stuff (though I got into Hidden World recently) but this album is really great and the thread that ties all of the lyrics together is extremely well-done.

huge contender for album of the year. very ambitious, but Fucked Up killed it, there's not a single bad song on this album. Remember My Name is a jam.

Shit, I don't even know where I got it. Mediafire takes down all their stuff apparently because of their name, which is hilarious.

3 songs in (although I've already heard The Other Shoe and A Little Death) and this record is fucking good. I need to order the vinyl.

www.davidcomestolife.com/Lyrics and everything on here. Edit: Just finished listen #1. Holy fuck. Gonna need to take in a few more to digest and comprehend it all, but fucking amazing so far. EDIT2: Ending sounds on Lights Go Up are the sounds at the beginning of Let Her Rest. Full circle.

haha, if you have the CD, there's a poem printed on the inside of the slip-cover. it's sort of a jokey version of Puck's conceit from the end of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

This album seriously gets better with every listen. It's unreal how good it is and how much talent is encompassed in it. I can't wait for the vinyl to come in the mail.

Wes, did you pick up the BEGN version with the 7 inch singles? I wanted to get that one. I'm gonna just have to pick it up at a store next time I'm in Denver.

Nope, with rare exceptions I don't buy 7"'s anymore because I just never listen to them.

Have listened a couple times. Good background music, but also good sit down and listen to music.
Some of the lyrics are a little awkward, in my opinion, but overall really good album. Cheesey concept, but well executed and too many highlights to point out.
