Couldn't go out to any stores because I'm still recovering from surgery, but there was barely anything I was interested in for this year's RSD. I still really need a copy of Bleed American but I'm going to wait til the prices drop a little since there were so many pressed.

There are no independent record stores here Which blows, because I really need that Wild Flag EP. And the Green Day/Husker Du split.

Too broke to get much, but picked up a copy of Angels of Light - We Are Him for a friend because everyone should hear that album.

There's no shops in the city but I did have a dream I went during my nap this evening.

I ended up going to the record store late, so all the stuff I wanted were sold out.

Only record store we have here sucks so I would have had to drive to Denver or Boulder.
Plus, I have 8 dollars for the rest of the week. Yeah. That too.

I went with the boymate. We didn't pick up too many record store day exclusives, just Television - Live at the Waldorf Theatre (on white vinyl) and Deerhoof - Friend Opportunity (on green vinyl). Mostly just indulged on records in general since it's an hour drive to any good record stores. I found Bongo Fury and a reprint of Bad Moon Rising along with many other delightful treats.

My first RSD working as staff...shit was crazy, our store made like 6 grand (usually we make about 1000-1500 per day). All the RSD exclusive stuff was pretty much gone within the first 4 hours. The ONLY thing I really wanted was Arthur Russell - World of Echo reissue, we ordered 5 and they only sent our store 2, and both got snapped up before I even got to work at 2 pm! What the fuck! I'm pissed!!!

Missed out on Derek and the Dominos Glassjaw Owen Menzingers and apparently Youth of Today? RSD's site didn't list it..
