Reggie Watts is a comedian/rapper and his beats are all made by him with his mouth. This song is pretty cool.

I don't know where all the appeal for Lil Wayne went for me. I've got no interest in hearing the Carter IV and only slightly more in keeping up with the endless string of delays preceding it.

SO MUCH GOOD SHIT LATELY. the new Lil B is miles ahead of most of his other shit, Game is a fucking great track. Kendrick Lamar - Section 80 is real nice, but i only got it yesterday and haven't gotten too many listens in. Curren$y's newest was solid as fuck, as expected. I don't think he can release a bad album/mixtape. also been really feeling Dom Kennedy - From The Westside With Love II. there's still so much shit i need to download.
also, this needs to go in here:

Ah shit, I used to listen to the Cool Kids 24/7. I didn't get into Keep Fishin' all that much, but this is pretty good so far.
Also, it's funny to see Asher Roth and Ghostface on the same album after he just made GFK's weakest rappers in the game list. Drake took every spot in the top 3, hahaha.

That's so unfortunate. It made my day when I first saw it.

I know he didn't write it, but I live my life pretending that he did. It's better that way.

Anybody into Busta Rhymes? What should I get? I have the Leaders of the New School album which is awesome, and his performances on Cuban Linx II and Scenario by Tribe are nuts.

My opinion of the album as a whole is "meh," but "Otis" is sick. Love that sample.

I'm still in total disbelief that Kreayshawn/White Girl Mob is a real thing that real people listen to with their real ears

Pretty good. Carter 3 was way better but 4 has got some jams. I finally got around to listening to Watch the Throne and it's amazing but i'm biased cause I love almost anything Kanye does.

yeah, I was feeling Carter IV after the first couple listens, but now it's starting to lose its touch with me. couple good tracks, but i feel like Wayne just kinda coasted through this album. on a more positive note, I'm really feeling Smoke DZA - Rolling Stoned. dude goes in and there's some nice features from Kendrick Lamar, Dom Kennedy and Curren$y.
and speaking of Curren$y, dude has been unfuckingstoppable this year. 3 mixtapes and a full length out this year and he's still not stopping AND everything so far has been fantastic.

newest pharrell signee. interesting direction with the beat for The Neptunes, but it's a killer beat and sounds so nice when it's turned up. i'm definitely ready to hear more of this kid though.
also, kendrick lamar is too fucking good. he murdered this beat.

Been listening to Watch the Throne. I know I joked about this album being The Blueprint 3 Part 2, but seriously, why the fuck did Jay and Kanye even put out Blueprint 3? This album makes me forget about the mediocrity.
I don't like Kanye, but he does a good job and the production is top notch.
Also, god damn Pitchfork. Do they just stand around and wait for reasons to use the n word uncensored?

ASAP Rocky - LiveLoveA$AP and The Throne are probably my favorite hip hop albums this year. it was a damn good year for rap though. speaking of pitchfork, this is actually a pretty good list: pitchfork.com/features/staff-lists/8743-you-can-find-this-on-the-internet-mixtapes-you-might-have-missed/ the Don Trip and Starlito tape is pretty good, as is Fat Trel's. need to check out some of the other ones, especially the Schoolboy Q and BLKHRTS tapes. the description for Flash Bang Grenada makes it seem pretty interesting too.
