Sean, do you know me at all?
I'm always sad. always.

Sean, do you know me at all? I'm always sad. always. That's why it was kind of a joke.

For some reason, I think Nick would like Brand New - Deja Entendu better.

For good reason. It's their best record.

Deja Entendu is great and all, but it's a lot closer to that pop-'emo'-alternative sound than anything after that. Not that it really fits into that whole dumb sound but I don't see it as nearly as much of an artistic achievement.

I don't really see how you can call anything Brand New has done an "artistic achievement".

The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me? I really think it's that good. And this is coming from someone who will be a complete dick to you if he thinks you like music that doesn't have any artistic merit. So.

I just don't see why everyone jizzes their pants about that album. I don't see it as having any more artistic merit than Deja Entendu. If by more artistic you mean boring? Then yeah, I agree.
This is turning into a Brand New thread, haha. Back to TBS appreesh!!
I can't say I blame yoooou! But I wish that I could. I'm sick of writing every song, about yooooou!!!!!

it's kind of funny that this ended up being a bunch of Brand New talk, cuz the song they just released definitely borrows heavily from Brand New and Glassjaw. keepin it on the island, i guess. I'm still stoked for the album, but this knocks my excitement down a couple pegs.
ps. The Devil and God rules.

Based off of this, I'm just going to pretend they broke up and go back to TAYF.
