Does anyone else have a projector? Like, a legit one for a theater or home theater? I do, and I love it. We mounted it to our ceiling and it's got amazing picture, blah blah blah. How the fuck do I hook up my Wii? I want to play Mario on what I think is about an 80 inch screen on my wall.
I'm hoping someone knows, I have tons of cords lying around, I just can't get it going. Help me NO MB Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.
Or just talk about projectors or your home set up, whatever that may be.

In terms of old school setups; Lecter used one during Hannibal in his presentation of slides of Renaldo Pazzi's ancestors, before he gutted him and hung him off the balcony. If it's good enough for Lecter, it's good enough for me. Go projectors! I don't have one, new or old, sadly.

Speaking of owning a projector, we might as well post nice home theatres. Do want: Here's an indoor pool that was converted into a home theatre: I'll save the best until last. Very much want:

My best friend's loaded father has one. We go there to watch movies sometimes and it's awesome.

I wish. Right now my computer monitor is my TV.
The new Redray player coming out in a few months can play 4k images off an SD dvd (six times the resolution of Bluray and currently the MAXIMUM you can see at a movie theater) The only way to see that difference is to drop $30,000 on a 4k projector, unfortunately. I want one.

Dude I would love a home theater that I could hook up to my computer. That is all.

Sadly no.
But now that Netflix has instant streaming for the PS3, my life has been revolutionized. I'm not sure if it is good or bad, but there are very few movies now that I can think of that I can't just watch immediately without leaving the house. Awesome!
Between that and the computer I have hooked up to the TV there is very little media I can't access directly from my "media center." We are living in a golden age!

I figured it out, I didn't realize that in the metal thing that extends from the ground up along the wall to the ceiling had every cord imaginable in it. Shows how much I know, but whatever it was awesome. The only kind of shitty is, is the censor cord has to run along the living room floor so we can play from the couch. I'm going to get a wireless one for Christmas. I can't wait to play the new Super Mario Bros. on it.
Those home theaters are so sick. Mine isn't anything to write home about but it's still pretty awesome. It's in our living room, just hanging there, you wouldn't even know we had it unless we watched something. Surround sound helps too, but two of my speakers aren't working and I have no idea why.

I saw a picture of a home theater this guy made to look like the bridge of a Star Destroyer. It was fucking awesome.

My aunt and uncle had one in their library. I was more jealous that they had a library, but the huge screen and leather seats were pretty awesome too.

Yeah, given the choice I'd rather have a huge library. With one of those rolling ladders and a fireplace.

When I was in high school, my best friend house sat for like months for these people who were totally loaded, and they had a huge home theater. We smoked so much pot and watched so many movies that year...

I saw a picture of a home theater this guy made to look like the bridge of a Star Destroyer. It was fucking awesome. I believe I've been there. It's in the foothills of Salt Lake if it's the same one. My uncle's friend bought the "house" (more like a castle) and tore out the theater, as well as the seven foot Darth Vader statue. Jerk.

He was planning on flipping it, but the housing market crashed before the remodeling was done and I think he got stuck with it. That's what he gets for destroying such an awesome nerd pad.
Also, some googling leads me to believe it's not the same star destroyer theater. This one didn't have control pits, just an airlock style door, star destroyer seats, and death star-looking walls.
