Yeah, Fortress is my #2 behind Kezia. It's kind of impossible to top K, so I find everything since slightly disappointing.

the songs Knights and White Mystery by Minus the Bear are seriously two of the sexiest songs I've ever heard. Planet of Ice is a phenomenal album.

Uh, the new of Montreal album is really good but it's depressing as fuck. I listened to it a few times at work today and I feel weird.

how are Spotify's recommendations so great, but their radio is so terrible? i keep finding cool stuff on the Discover page, but I just cannot use their radio. it just repeats shit all the time, even after you thumbs up and thumbs down a few tracks.
anyways, i just found an album called Buy American by The Moms and it's a pretty decent little punk rock record. i hear some shades of Dopamines in songs like Business Is Booming, but they're still quite a bit more downbeat than the Dopas. they should really tour with Dads though.
edit: ok, it's definitely the lead singer's voice that is making me think Dopas. they sound kinda similar.

I actually reallllly like most of Omni, but it has some clunkers. wasn't a big fan of Infinity Overhead though.

currently listening to Royal Headache... they almost kind of remind me of a mix between Guided By Voices in the vocals and Replacements and some other more punk-ish bands for the instrumentals. and apparently they broke up... but they're still tracking the second LP and may tour when it gets released.

Spotify's 100 Greatest Punk Songs of All Time playlist is actually surprisingly good. It really does have a lot of great songs and covers a lot of different sub-genres in punk. good shuffle playlist.
EDIT:
JUJUBES! JUJUBES! JUJUBES! JUJUBES! JUJUBES! JUJUBES!
...thank you.

i have no idea what this band is doing nowadays, but that first Chiodos record is still cool in my book. Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on the Creek or There's No Penguins in Alaska are the fuckin jams and make me feel like i'm in junior high all over again.

Alls Well arhat Ends Well or the one they did as a The Chiodos Bros., because the former is catchy as shit.

i was gonna type something like "best punk band" or "best British band", but i keep feeling like i'm insulting the Clash with that haha. i'm just gonna settle for, the Clash were and always fucking will be great.

also, Meat Wave is not only an awesome band name (even though almost all of the reviews i've found disagree with me), but they're an awesome band. got them randomly from the Discover page, but I reallllly like the lo-fi punk they bring to the table. and their last EP definitely shows some improvement on the songwriting, It's Not Alright in particular is a really nice mix of their noise and some pop sensibilities. and their cover of Wipers' Mystery is fuckin dope. also, this just popped into my head... they kind of have a similar vibe to Cloud Nothings, just with a much fuzzier sound. meatwavechicago.bandcamp.com/

revisiting some Manchester Orchestra since I realized that it's less than two weeks until I see them. Mean Everything to Nothing is still such a damn great album.
also listened to mewithoutYou - A→B Life today since it had been a good two years since I'd last heard it. holy fuck, that album hit me hard today, I do not remember loving it that much.

Moonshine Bandits - Sweet Home California
They're playing this on a podcast I'm listening to and I honestly can't believe it exists. I almost cried from laughing.

been really stuck on Osoosooso the last day or so. The songs A Bunch of Things I Don't Know and Para 'effin Dise, Baby are just hitting really hard for me. Para effin Dise especially resonates with that chorus since i'm currently scheduling a trip home for the first time in over a year.

never thought i'd say it, but i've been playing the hell out of the new Drake freestyle. Meek is getting Ethered, he needs to drop a song or he's gonna be laughed at forever within rap for not responding to Wheelchair Jimmy.

It's been a ton of The Thermals lately. God these guys are just so fucking good. Personal Life never really clicked with me until recently but it's an awesome departure from their previous stuff.
