I've been listening to Handwritten a lot over the last couple of days and I really, really like it, especially the first three songs. The whole record is pretty solid, though and "Blue Dahlia" might be my favorite closing track of their's. I also enjoy the Nirvana cover.

^I love Blue Dahlia, but that's a b-side, the closer is National Anthem, which I think is the perfect closer. I can see why Blue Dahlia didn't make the final tracklist.

Blue Dahlia's a phenomenal song. I thought Sliver was just meh, but it's been one of my favourite Nirvana songs since I was a kid.

Well shit, I guess that's what I get for not looking at the tracklist, haha. National Anthem being the closer makes sense because most of their albums close with a slower track, save for The Backseat.

Saw these guys the other day. Played a solid 90 minute set, with a four song encore. They played every song off of Handwritten except for Howl and National Anthem. Only one song from Sink or Swim, and nothing from Senor and The Queen. Otherwise suuuuch a solid set. Love this band so much, and they seem to be having more and more fun even as they get bigger.

I missed them a few nights ago, so sad. I kinda wrote them off after American Slang and didn't listen to Handwritten for a long time, but holy shit it's their best record other than The '59 Sound.

Yeah, Handwritten took a while to grow on me, but I really like it now.
I get to see them in August! I'm excited.

Handwritten instantly clicked for me. I think it's the best thing they've done yet.

It's safe to say that Handwritten is my favorite Gaslight album now. Also the blue vinyl is soooooooo beautiful.

I got offered tickets to see them at a festival here in August last night. On the upside they're free and I haven't seen Gaslight for years, but I'd have to go with someone I really don't like and it would make me feel like a bad person.

I've listened to songs here and there, but I've never just sat down and listened to an album. Rectifying that right now. Coin-flipped between Sink and '59. Latter wins.
