I thought it was dumb.

Yeah, it was dumb as shit. It was fine until they started going on and on about the word "Fags". The bikers were as funny as hell., then it just fell to shit in a haze of poorly thought out, idiotic rhetoric.

They had an okay (if muddled) message, but it was obvious that they were also just trying to get people to call bikers fags, which is just fucking stupid.

I don't think it was a good message at all. They completely missed the whole god damn point. It has absolutely nothing to do with the dictionary definition of a word, but the colloquialism of it.
and if THAT was the point, they did a real piss poor job of making it. Ugh, not funny in the slightest. You don't get to "reclaim" a word by insisting till you're blue in the face that it doesn't mean what everyone else thinks it means. I think a more poignant example woulda been Randall in Clerks 2 using the phrase porch monkey. Shrug, South Park has used absurdity of a topic with a lot more finesse and relevancy in the past, but I think they really botched the fuck out of it on this episode.

I really liked Cartman's rendition of "Poker Face." It's my ringtone.

So has anyone seen season 14 yet? The 200th and 201st episodes were awesome, but 201 was heavily bleeped due to Comedy Central and South Park being threatened by a radical Muslim group. Eventually, repeats of 201 were pulled, it's not even available for viewing on southparkstudios.com, and even "Super Best Friends" got pulled! I assume that the censor bar over Muhammed was part of the joke on South Park's end, but Comedy Central bleeped his name in 201 and bleeped the final "I learned something today" speech; which according to Matt & Trey wasn't even about Muhammed but about letting fear and intimidation silence our free speech.
All that controversy aside, it was nice to see a bunch of old faces again: the updated Mecha Streisand looked awesome, Dr. Mephisto, Mitch Connor, Pip ( poor Pip), Scott Tenorman, etc. Also, finding out who Cartman's dad really is?! Awesome! ( how do you do spoiler alerts here?)
I liked the Killing Joke references leading up to the reveal. Also, the very last scene of the episode was hilarious. And the Sea Man jokes, though immature, warranted a few chuckles ("Swallow, come!").
Overall, I'd say those two episodes were the best in a long time. Maybe it's just cause I liked all the self-referential stuff, I don't know. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed it.

See, the self-referential stuff kind of annoyed me. I can't even really articulate why, I just thought it was pointless for the most part. The bleeping of the speech at the end was fucking ridiculous. I hope an uncensored version of that gets released at some point, though I don't really care about the rest of the stuff they bleeped.

I've actually really enjoyed this season so far. 200 and 201 were hilarious. The instant the Chili Con Carnival sign lit up, I said to myself, "NO FUCKING WAY, SCOTT TENORMAN!?!?"

Ohman, I loved these episodes, and discussing them in my ethics classes has been a blast.
I totally thought the "what I learned" speeches at the end were sensored on purpose! which made it way funnier to me.
The only better father reveal would have been Kyle's dad.

Did anyone see last night's episode? This season has been really bad for the most part, but that was one of the best episodes ever. It was a fairly standard (but really funny) episode, then that ending came out of fucking nowhere, and it was a real punch in the gut. A lot of it rang really true, because we all know someone like Stan in this episode. Hell, I'm that guy to some extent.
The funniest part by far was the movie trailers. "We know you're going to see it anyways, fuck you!"

That episode is the first (new one) I've watched in about two or three years. I thought it was funny as hell, but the ending surprised the shit out of me. Which was nice. And ensures I'll watch next weeks because what the fuck.
And I like that they're ageing up again.
But yeah, fuck those trailers were awesome. President duck was in my dream last night!

It was a good reflection of South Park. This is supposedly the last season. I wouldn't be surprised given last night's ep.

That kinda sucks, cause Trey said this about doing the show: "it’s this curse, and when we are doing it, I hate it. I’m pissed off and I’m tired, and every single Tuesday I say, ‘This is the worst show we’ve ever done!’ It’s brutal. But it’s something I am a part of that’s bigger than I am. That’s what most important." www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/why-south-parks-trey-parker-171189

I think that shows, too. Lately the ideas and themes they've come up with have been half-baked or really muddled, like they just kind of give up halfway through. There's still sparks (the Coon three-parter, last week's episode), but it's obvious they're close to the end, or at least want to be.

This weeks episode was lame as fuck. It was 20 minutes of the same stupid shit joke over, and over, and over, and then 3 minutes of being a bummer.

I'm with Nick on this one. I thought it was definitely an enjoyable (albeit sad toward the end) episode. The movie trailers had me laughing so hard. Then my jaw was on the floor those last few minutes. But yeah, I'm thinking after the fall run of episodes is over, this show will be done.
I keep reading that the show is contracted through 2013, and other people are spreading it around like it's fact, but I'm pretty sure it was a typo on the writer's part that people just accepted. Until I hear from Comedy Central or South Park Studios themselves that it will continue through 2013, I'm inclined to believe that this current season will be the final one. As much as I like the show, it has been declining rapidly these past few years with a few gems here and there, and I'd be happy with the show ending now before it drags on and on and on like The Simpsons. Especially if M&T really don't enjoy doing the show anymore, I wouldn't want them to continue. They seem to be doing pretty well with their Book of Mormon, which I'd like to check out.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that episode wasn't made to be entertaining so much as it was them saying "you guys seriously we're so over this" haha. the randy/sharon dialogue couldn't make that more obvious. bummer.

Just saw Matt & Trey on the Daily Show. They said they still enjoy doing South Park, and that last episode especially.

Well good. Maybe they'll change stuff around completely if they stick with Stan and the others being separated.
