Discuss how much this band rules. Listening to the acoustic version of The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot kills me every time.
Oh, and go find Daisy somewhere, one of the best albums of the year.

Stoked to hear Daisy, although it will probably be a few weeks after it comes out before I actually get to hear it.
Deja is by far my favorite.

Deja is good, but it will never touch The Devil and God.. in my eyes.

I love Daisy. Sooo good. Dave, I still think Deja is better than The Devil and God.

Absolutepunk.net has nearly ruined this band for me.

The Devil and God is boring as shit. But "Jesus Christ" is by far their best song, so it kind of balances out.

I don't think TDAG is boring at all. I mean, yeah, it is a lot slower, even compared to Daisy, but it's still an amazing album. Luca is super good.

I still like TDAG, but it's just too slow to be as appealing to me as their other albums. Daisy is SO fucking good. Gasoline, Vices, Sink, In A Jar, Daisy... absolutely flawless songs. And I still want a Your Favorite Weapon tattoo.

Yeah, had to turn that off after about 30 seconds. Not a fan, despite loving both elements (JB and JL) on their own.

Brand New is my absolute favorite band. The lyrics are just always so clever. I haven't heard Daisy yet. I'm kind of scared to actually in case I don't like it. But I wasn't a huge fan of TDATG at first but I grew to love it.

I really think you'll like Daisy a lot if BN are already your favorite band. It took a few listens for me to "get" it, but it's a really fucking good CD. Better than TDAG!

I'm loving Daisy, my friend and I have been pulling out the repeating themes within the last three albums, and it's really kind of interesting to see how each one really does have repetitive metaphors throughout the album that kind of sum it up. Like, with Daisy, I've been noticing the overwhelming usage of fire. With The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me there was obviously death and religion. Deja Entendu was overwhelmingly sex.
I still have to say that TDAGARIM is my favorite album by them thus far, possibly even ever. But, that's a bold statement worth evaluating. But, honestly, that just comes down to my personal tastes of what I'm looking for in a song/album.
I've heard rumors that they might be coming close to an end as a band, though. And by rumors, I mean, I've heard it from Jesse Lacey in interviews, and on stage.

As sad as I'd be if they broke up, I can always respect a band who walks out while at their acme. Wish a certain other band would've done that, cough cough.

Yeah, I feel like I'd be alright with Brand New splitting up, because they have a level of integrity that they're trying to keep.
I mean, hell, when the last album leaked ridiculously early (in demo form) they went back in and wrote all new songs.

I don't hear what everyone else seems to in Daisy. It just isn't interesting at all! I need to give it another listen through, but initial impressions aren't promising.

Haven't heard anything of Daisy, but The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me is one of the few albums that completely emotionally shipwrecks me.

As much as I loved Daisy and TDAG, Brand New will always be defined by their first two albums for me.

I got to see this band on their small club tour...it was great. They played every single song I wanted to hear. I cannot imagine them in a bigger setting though, and this is why I will probably not go see them on other tours. I have yet to listen to Daisy, which I need to get on top of.

I don't hear what everyone else seems to in Daisy. It just isn't interesting at all! I need to give it another listen through, but initial impressions aren't promising. It's really, really weird the first listen, but if you give it more tries you can really "hear" the songs more. As much as I loved Daisy and TDAG, Brand New will always be defined by their first two albums for me. Same. I think a lot of that is because I was in high school when those came out, so I had so much pent up teenage shit going on that those albums floored me and connected even more.

It's really, really weird the first listen, but if you give it more tries you can really "hear" the songs more. Indeed. It took me a few listens to really get into it, then I just fell in love. Same thing happened for me with The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. I don't know if it takes a few listens to hear the subtleties and appreciate them, or what. Just give it a few listens at least.

I have been trying for days now to find a way to express how and why I love Daisy so much, but I just can't jumble the words together.
I don't understand all of the hate it's getting from so many people all over the place, because it's a god damn amazing album.
