Lullaby has always been one of my favorites and yes, the lyrics are too damned creepy.

the title track is my favourite Cure song. easily. those synthesizers just jingle and cascade and shower the room with pain. it's great.

I haven't listened to "Trust" in forever. This is the saddest song ever written.

Lullaby and Fascination Street are beautiful and Plainsong is lush yet fragile, but Disintegration are out of their league.

Yeah, Disintegration is probably my favorite Cure song. I love this band.

I'm also all about Prayers For Rain. something about that song sounds like the sonic embodiment of despair.

Oh yeah, am I the only one who's scared to death by Subway Song? The effing scream gets me every time! So much creepier than Lullaby or anything else you could ever come up with.

DISINTEGRATION IS THE BEST ALBUM EVER! But seriously, what an amazing band. Plainsong is, I think, my favorite by them. I agree with Tara on this. I fucking love Plainsong and The Same Deep Water as You.

I just hooked up a great comp called Perfect As Cats. 2 74-minute discs worth of awesome indie/noise/electronic/minimalist Cure covers. look it up. Jesu, Corridors, Veil Veil Vanish, Blackblack, and We Are The World contribute some particularly memorable versions.

They were pretty much all I listened to whenever I spent late nights at the campus art building.
Appearance wise Robert Smith is the goth version of Buzz Osborne.

Seriously guys. Am I the only one who likes Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography? the TRUE trilogy seventeen seconds is my favorite followed closely by head on the door

I still cannot listen to Disintegration or Bloodflowers without crying. Faith and The Head on the Door are also in my top cure albums, but for some reason I never really got into Pornography as much as the others. I haven't listened to it in ages.
That said, The Same Deep Water as You is so fucking beautiful.

That was the exact thing I said when I saw that. I'm on a cure forum, and I should have seen that before today. It was announced tuesday. Oh well.
I will probably go to the Saturday show.

I guess the scalpers got all the tickets. Fucking dickheads. They went on sale on Monday at 10am. Within an hour or two a whole bunch of them were up on ebay and Stubhub. I have a friend who is one of those ticket resellers ...maybe on account of our friendship he can get me a ticket or two for cost.
