Man, I hated Oscar last night for not backing up Michael. Overall it didn't get a whole lot of laughs from me, but I still enjoyed it. Jim banishing Ryan to the closet was awesome.

I'm not pissed that Oscar didn't back Michael up, I'm just pissed he totally bitched out and didn't publicly condemn the company. I hate Michael so much, he's so fucking stupid, and my ability to believe that he hasn't been fired yet is wearing thin.

I think they've made it pretty clear that they keep him around because his branch is the only one still turning a profit.

i guess, but it's hard to believe that that's because of him.

I know the US Office was never supposed to be about realism but this season has been ridiculous.

I'm pissed about Oscar, too. It sounded like he had a decent plan and he really could have turned it around. I am glad that Jim's being serious about his job, now, though.

i guess, but it's hard to believe that that's because of him. That's part of the humor in the show. Also part of the humor in the show is that as dumb as Michael is and no matter how terrible of a boss he may be, he always seems to get things done no matter how quirky or odd his methods may be...

I liked Ryan a lot in early seasons. Then when he moved to corporate, I hated him. Now that he's just a poor douche bag, I enjoy him again.

Not a big fan of last night's episode. Michael's story was really over-the-top and made him too unlikable, and the way they wrapped up Jim's predicament seemed really half-assed. Dwight's impressions of Stanley and Kevin were fucking brilliant though. Also:
"I doubled my sales!" "From what, two to four?" *cuts to Pam in talking head interview* "Yup!"

Yea...last night's episode was a bit painful to watch. But Dwight had some good parts.

I read a really depressing article about this show a day or two ago and now I'm afraid to watch a new episode because I'll see Jim in Pam in a totally negative way. (I have no idea where I found the link to it if it wasn't in this thread. Color me goddamn puzzled.)

Why would it make you see Jim and Pam in a negative way? I'm intrigued. Was it an article about an upcoming episode or something?

No, it was an article about the newest season, really, and about how Jim is cornered into the future he didn't want but he really has no choice now and how he and Pam have no friends outside of the office or something.

I don't think anyone has friends outside of the office.

I thought it was going to be something like the James Lipton article that Emily linked to that was whining about how Jim and Pam are perpetuating the heteronormative paradigm or some such bullshit.

So I don't really watch a whole lot of tv, so I went to go try and watch some of these on demand. Why the fuck do they cost money? God damn it.

Haha, male prima donna just came on shuffle as I finished reading that article. It's like the office was trying to spite the debbie downerness of it. "WE'RE STILL FUNNY LISTEN TO THIS HILARIOUS SONG AND SHUT UP."

With a little help from Kelli I realized last night that the pizza boy in The Launch Party is Artie from Glee.
