I got this most recently. Metallica i heard those reissues don't sound that great. confirm/deny? I have heard the same about the reissues, luckily these are all pressings from the year each album was released except for master of puppets & ride the lightening which are 1989 pressings.

Nice! Haha did you hit up Lee from Gallows? He's selling a ton of old hardcore 7"s. Got these today: Pretty neat little package, colored vinyl + tee of the album cover. It's kind of an annoying package because it's a gatefold, one side for the vinyl, the other a bulky one to hold the shirt, kind of inconvenient, but whatever, it's more novelty than anything.

They're at Hot Topic. $35 a pop, but I'm an employee so I got two for one, not a bad deal though.
There are these: Guns n' Roses - Appetite Manson - Portrait Michael Jackson - Early Years Hollywood Undead - whatever the fuck their album is called. Why this was created escapes me Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers Killers - Hot Fuss No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom Slipknot - First album or whatever
I'd buy all of them except for Slipknot and Hollywood Undead. Dunno if more will be made.

Can anyone explain to me what the significance of first/second/etc. pressings is? I can't really get my head around it, nor do I have any idea how you could tell the difference.

There's no REAL significance as far as I know, it's just ~cool~ more than anything, hahaha. Also sites like popsike highlight the differences so you can look up the record(s) you're wondering about.

Worrying about pressings comes from back in the days when Vinyl was the main medium. First Pressings tended to be pressed onto better grade vinyl at better cutting plants with a better master than later pressings, often times, the master for later pressings would be made from a copy of the first pressing (With super cheap vinyl). It's also a hang up to the days of widespread bootlegging/counterfeiting - first pressings were generally easier to distinguish than others and the true 'artist' release. These day's it's really just a collectors thing.
Although, oddly enough - the 2nd pressings of Tortoise's Standards is more valuable than the 1st.

Sweet Ben, I just got the burgundy Red of Tooth and now I'm done with all those variants I think. Awesome. With this order I'll have all 3 of the 7" series that are out, the Finch Instrumental, and "Like the Exorcist..." with the 7" of b-sides. I'm kind of dumb though, I keep buying vinyl and I've still not got a complete set up for my player.Hahaha.This shall be remedied in about two weeks though.
