I inherited my parents' entire record collection. They're not even dead, they just don't want the stuff anymore. It's great because they have pretty much all the classics. But they used to belong to a record club, so they also have a bunch of completely weird/cheap crap.

I have spent way way way too much money on records the past two years. I'm embarrassed to list my collection.
I'm still pumped about finding Witness for $5 about a month ago.
Ghostlimb/Fischer 10" is what I've listened to the most lately. I'm also very fond of my Grand by Matt and Kim and In the Pendulum's Embrace by Oren Ambarchi lately.

The most embarassing thing about my record collection is that I use the universal scrobbler to add everything I listen to to my last.fm. This is the most recent purchase I'm most in love with: Blind To Faith - The Seven Fat Years Are OverAlso the Psyched To Die 7". Though, the red is the rarer one, and freecakefreecake just added some to their distro right after I got the black one elsewhere. I'm not into record collecting for the sake of collecting, just the red looks so good. So a little bummed about that.

I wish I had that Off With Their Heads record!
This one record store in Madison (Mad City Music Exchange) is pretty amazing for used stuff. In addition to Witness for $5, I found Folsom Prison for $4, and a total of nine Bowie records (Young Americans, lets dance, Ziggy Stardust, Scary Monsters, Hunky dory, Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs, Heroes and Lodger) for $4-$7 each. I actually could have bought Low but didn't cuz i hadn't heard it by then. Shit.
I got Rainbow Bridge and Cry of Love by Hendrix there for a total of $12, too.

Holy Shit. I just got the new Vic Chesnutt record, best package ever: 100% Recycled, heavyweight cardstock sleeve (no barcode), 3 colour silkscreen poster with tips on axewielding on super thick paper, inserts on 80lb paper, 180g Vinyl and a CD copy of the album. Wasn't expecting it to arrive for a while either.
