I'm really enjoying Silent Planet's new record.

Can't wait to get my hands on the remaster of Integrity's Those Who Fear Tomorrow. Listening to it on spotify it doesn't really sound much different (thankfully, because the original still sounds incredible and the remaster of Humanity is the Devil was unfortunately garbage), but the CD comes with lyrics! Finally!

the new ep by Mass Gothic is SO FUCKING GOOD. Like, I've been very non-passionate about music lately and I can't stop listening to this. Hooooooked

This month is fucking ridiculously good: Angel Olsen, Against Me!, Touché Amore, Drive-By Truckers, Cymbals Eat Guitars, and I'm sure I'm forgetting another one.

Fuck, I didn't know that all of the new Touché album was about his mom. This is simultaneously really hard to get through and exactly what I needed right now.

upon first listen, the new Neurosis album is pretty good. Nothing surprising, doesn't really feel very heavy even at its heaviest, but it's solid.

Haven't gotten around to the new Neurosis or Beach Slang yet but I did listen to the new ETID and Touche Amore records a bunch the past couple of days. Really like both. Weird to hear Jeremy actually singing on the new Touche but it's a nice addition.

The new Beach Slang is catchy and fun, but I found out the singer is in his forties, which makes their lyrics and the fact that the album is called "A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings" really really weird. I had just assumed that they were all in their early 20s or something.

The singer was in a band when he actually was a teen and I guess he just wants to continue to feel like he is in his teens.

I feel like once you've heard a single Beach Slang song you've heard them all.
Bonus: Drink every time he says any of the following: "young, drunk, alive", die of alcohol poisoning before the album ends.

new ETID was pretty good. new Joyce Manor is probably my favorite album from this year right now. those dudes are still killing it and their songwriting is just getting better. Last You Heard of Me is just a fucking great track.
I also apparently missed that goddamn AMERICAN FOOTBALL was putting out a new album. I only have listened to the first two songs so far, but it's starting off promising.

New Jimmy Eat World is pretty chill, but I'm really enjoying it. Probably because I'm getting old.

^I actually liked it quite a bit too. it honestly reminds me a lot more of Clarity and Static Prevails than any other Jimmy albums.
I'm listening to the new A Tribe Called Quest right now and i'm just fucking blown away by this. the beats, the flows, the lyrics, the features... i haven't been disappointed with a single track, this is gonna be nearly an instant classic for me.

I wasn't as into the new song. It was alright. About what I expected new ATDI to sound like.

That's fair, it's also kind of what I was expecting/hoping for out of new ATDI. There's just something about the guitars that I really love. Plus, I keep finding myself singing the chorus.
