Those albums you've listened to for years, but keep finding different favorite songs every time you come back to it.
This struck me the other day while I was listening to Siamese Dream. When I was a kid and had just gotten into the Smashing Pumpkins my favorite song was "Mayonaise," then for a few years there it was "Hummer," and here for the past year or so it's been "Silverfuck":
Another one has been "Cosmic Keys to My Creation and Times" off of In The Nightside Eclipse by Emperor. While I always loved to first riff in the song (where the rhythm guitar sounds like some crazy kind of wind), the rest of the song never really stood out to me, but the last few times I've put the album on this song has given me strong feelings of "fuck! this is badass!" Especially that nasty pogo riff right before/after the blast part, and that slow Celtic Frost section at the end, damn!
There's surely more that I could think of, but anyway, I'm sure we've all got some of these, how about it?

Oh damn this is seriously an awesome idea for a thread. Definitely agree with you on Silverfuck, probably the best song on Siamese Dream. I've been listening to a shitton of Sleater-Kinney this week and "Whats Mine is Yours" has been getting a lot more attention from me upon revisiting the album.

Been listening to Danzig II a lot lately and I've re-fallen in love with "Tired of Being Alive"

Listened to Static Prevails for the first time in awhile and got hooked on the song "Call It In The Air." Don't know how this wasn't one of my favorite Jimmy Eat World songs before.

Listened to Static Prevails for the first time in awhile and got hooked on the song "Call It In The Air." Don't know how this wasn't one of my favorite Jimmy Eat World songs before. Oh yeah that song rules, def. one of my favorites by them. Always preferred their more upbeat songs, personally.

The Devil In Mexico.
I love the album so much, but my favorite song had always been Masters In Reverse with no question. The last several times I've gone back to the album I'm just like, well shit. This is just the best. Absolute best. It's not that I didn't like it before, but shit it's overpowered every song on that album for me as just the goddamn best.

I've got of Montreal on the brain, but "The Party's Crashing Us" was a big one for me about a year ago.

My favorite song on The Cure's, Pornography, used to be "The Hanging Garden." I won't confirm nor deny it's because of AFI... but it was because of AFI. Now it's "A Strange Day." My favorite track on The Format's Dog Problems used to be "Dog Problems," but now it's either "Oceans" or "If Work Permits." My favorite on Dear You used to be "Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault," but now it's up between "Oyster" and "Million." Lastly, my favorite on In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, was "Two Headed Boy" but now I'm more partial to Pt. 2.

My favorite on Dear You has always been "Accident Prone" but I've also grown to love "Oyster" a lot more than I used to.

I hadn't listened to The Cure in years, but I've been listening quite a lot lately. Shortly before Halloween this year I reaffirmed my belief in "A Strange Day". Dat guitar part. I couldn't think of any per specific album, but for artists, I literally only heard this Sisters Of Mercy song for the first time ever in the last month or so: Why did I not know?

Bob Dylan's 115th Dream! Always kinda liked it, but I've been listening to Bringing It All Back Home a lot lately and it's just so great. I love the inflections.

i've been re-listening to Brand New's Fight Off Your Demons demos and 1996 aka Untitled 02 used to be my favorite song, but I have been completely drawn into Nobody Moves aka Untitled 05/Cleanser the last few listens. i've come to appreciate the original a lot more, but the remastered/rerecorded vocals version at the end of the cassette is SOOOOO fucking good. that new vocal track sounds so much cleaner and it doesn't get overpowered by the bass. either way, i can't get enough of it now. it plays so well with the quiet/loud dynamic they ultimately went with on The Devil and God and I'm kinda sad that it never made it on the album. reminds me kind of Degausser.

this doesn't really count as an album I've listened to for years, but it's an old album. Every few days or so I clean my bicycle in the morning. I have breakfast, coffee/tea, shave my legs (for aerodynamics), have a beer, put the radio on the classic rock station, and go at my bike. I always put the radio on a classic rock station. My favorite station, when they started out a few years ago, only played vinyl records. I assume they stopped that practice since they never mention it anymore. Still, all the other classic rock stations became variety and/or modern rock stations. So this station is the one I tune into mostly. I heard a song on there recently and I love it.
I've even played it while my parents were around and they didn't recognize it, despite it being in their realm of recognition.
