FUCK!!!!!
I went back and looked at my list of 2014 stuff I was waiting for and still got: Kendrick and Jay Rock's solo albums, but singles are out for both. and that long-rumored Black Hippy album. Kanye should have something coming soon, I'm just assuming. Waka Flocka should hopefully dropping Flockaveli 2, but I'm not holding my breath now.
other than that Joey Bada$$ album should finally clear all of its samples soon and be out. pretty excited for the new Modest Mouse album in March! and maybe a Brand New album? I keep hearing they might tour with Modest Mouse in the spring/summer.

FUCK. I forgot about the new Blacklisted, that new song was fucking awesome. Can't believe it's been almost 5 years since No One Deserves... I've also been kinda obsessed with Chlorine, so idk how i forgot about the new Title Fight.
I'm just perusing a couple lists of stuff that's supposed to come out this year:
Make Do and Mend Radiohead Deafheaven Beach House Baroness Frank Ocean Purity Ring Pusha T Torche of Montreal Gang of Four Band of Horses Frank Turner Faith No More Death Cab for Cutie
Looks like a lot of these are mostly confirmed, so shit, it is gonna be a good year.

Huh. There's not really much going on for me yet besides Deafheaven and Radiohead, if that does come to fruition,

I'll be perfectly honest and say that I don't really give a fuck about anything besides Sleater-Kinney (which I've already heard). Buuuuut I'll listen to these if/when they come out: -Murder By Death -Brand New? -Kanye? -Iron Maiden?? -Baroness? -Deafheaven

California X's new one is a bore, but the title track is massive. It makes the rest of the album worse by how fucking good it is.

luvu2bby.
For real though, I was just thinking about how much my opinion on them has changed in the last few years because I didn't really bother with them until Shed. Although I did go back and listen to The Last Thing You Forget the other day and that album is still pretty fucking rad. I'm really enjoying them exploring new styles a lot though.

The new Bjork is hard to listen to on repeat because it's such a downer but I think it's one of her best.

I'm into it. Hypernight is a fucking great track. edit: for real, i'm fucking in love with the bassline from Hypernight. Liar's Love and New Vision are both pretty fantastic too.

I like the new Title Fight, but I don't love it. Seems like a lot of bands have just decided to like My Bloody Valentine a lot.
The new Sidekicks album is great. It's wonderful and more than I expected and cuts all the way sometimes. It burns.
I find the new Choke Up to be kind of a mess which is disappointing.

I don't think anything official has been announced yet, i think it was just on a list I was reading haha. They did play a new song live at the end of last year and Bloom was released in 2012, so I'm guessing that people are just making assumptions at this point.
I'm still completely enthralled with Hyperview and have been listening to it all day. This is exactly what I've been looking for lately. TF has really come into their own. Their influences' fingerprints are all over this album, but it still feels like its totally theirs.

I think I've fallen into that state where I don't really keep tabs or get excited about new music. I also don't have much time to enjoy new records. I've been giving the new MBD a lot of love though. Wasn't about to let that one slip through.

Best goddamn weekend ever. Now that's a band to follow around the country, they make such an effort to change up their setlist for people who go to multiple shows! Such sweethearts. And they were so good. BDL is terribly good, The Last Thing and Send Me Home make me tear up just thinking about them. Sarah wrote Natural Pearl which is my favorite, I hope she writes more songs in the future. I just want to like scream into the void "i love you mbd"

The song big dark love though, is awful, makes me want to rip my eyes out and I thought I was going to pass out when they played it the first night. I want to shake him and go "whyyyyyy did you do that, whattttt were you thinking"

i saw sleater-kinney last night. they've still got it live. anyone from here that goes won't be disappointed. they played an absolute ton of old stuff too, like a 23 song set with 4 songs from no cities to love. the songs from the woods and dig me out were definitely the best and most high energy.

Nothing at all sexy about being surrounded by giant drunk dudes screaming "i know it's dangerous let me in, let me in, let me in."
