If I wasn't on my phone and lazy there would be a picture of Godzilla here.
The year that wasn't supposed to be is neatly wrapping up and 2014's looking like it might be even bigger music wise. What are you looking forward to?
Against Me! Wayfarer La Dispute Gaslight Anthem Pup? Larry Arms Self Defense Family
I feel like I'm blanking on a few. Go!
Edit: MOTHERFUCKING BANE

Kanye Kendrick/Schoolboy Q/Ab-Soul/Jay Rock solo albums.... a whole Black Hippy album would be cool too. Riff Raff Waka Flocka Flame (FLOCKAVELI 2!!!!) Guided By Voices The Men Freddie Gibbs and Madlib
seconding AM!, La Dispute, Gaslight, Larry Arms and SDF. so sad that this is going to be Bane's last album. I think Frank Ocean is supposed to have something new next year, same with blink 182. It's gonna be tough to top this year.

The Lawrence Arms is my most anticipated album, for sure. I don't know what all is coming out next year, though.

Update: the Drive-By Truckers album is fucking outstanding, check it out (and the rest of their discog; they're quickly becoming one of my favorite bands).

I've been seeing the name pop up a lot but dismisssed it because I think it's terrible. Only a good band could have a name that bad.
I guess the new Single Mothers comes out this year which I find very exciting because I can't stop listening to them at the moment.

Their songwriting is some of the richest storytelling I've heard; they're just amazing.

I just remembered that Bayside have a new record coming out next month. Just in time because I've been listening to them a ton lately.

I got a vinyl copy of Transgender Dysphoria Blues at their show last night, really excited to listen to it. I've liked all the new songs I've heard live (though I think the songs on the True Trans EP work better acoustic than electric).

As of right now, I like TDB about as much as White Crosses. Liking the second half much more. Needs more listens.

YMCA Next To The Clinic feels a lot better than every other song on Metropole.

I was initially stoked when it came out but I've given Metropole a few listens and I think it's kind of boring. Maybe I need to spend more time with it?

I haven't listened to it since it started streaming on youtube, but I was bored at first and then started liking it with each listen.
Yo, NEW MENZINGERS THIS SPRING IS WHAT I'M STOKED ON! New song they played was great.

fuck yeah!! I need to see them live again and I am very stoked to hear a new album. On The Impossible Past grew on me a ton and I think I like it about as much as Chamberlain Waits now.

Man, new Banner Pilot and Code Orange Kids this year. It does not feel like 3 years since Heart Beats Pacific. Mid-April is by far the best time for a new BP album.
Also, here's hoping Spraynard actually gets back together for more than the one show. So much fun.

I was so stoked to hear about the new Banner Pilot album. God I love those guys.
I really like the new Bayside, and the new Men record leaked too, and it's also really good. I don't know how those guys put out an album a year and stay that good.

I also really like the new Bayside, especially "Objectivist On Fire." It's a really different song for them.

GIVE is the truth. You'll all be Flowerheads soon enough.
It will be really interesting to see what they do with a full length. the singles they put out in 2012 + Voodoo Leather were all spectacular and that 12" EP from 2009 still holds up incredibly well, but they haven't put out any release with more than 7 tracks.
