Noooo! I started five a couple days ago and I'm not hating it but I can see what you're saying about the first four seasons. So good! But my brother-in-law watched the whole show and told me he liked it all and that he needs somebody to watch the whole show so he can talk about it and the responsibility kinda fell to me. My brother said the same thing about Debra but he hated Skyler White too so I don't trust his judgement on women. Why don't you like her? Or.. maybe it's stuff that happens that I haven't seen yet? Cause so far she hasn't really done anything horrible. I mean she's not my favorite character but I don't hate her or anything. I know I already said Community has been great but I want to talk about it some more. I like Garrett but if they overused him I think I'd get tired of him. But they don't so I'm good hahahah. I just found myself cringing every single time she had a line. Her entire character seemed so forced and badly done to me. The concept of the overbearing, rowdy sister who acts based on impulse and stands as the emotional contrast to Dexter is a great idea in itself as it adds a crucial layer of depth to the family situation which produced the killer that he is. They just didn't do it with the quality I thought the character deserved. EDIT: And Marie was always the BB character I disliked. I thought Skyler was a spoilsport, but that kind of thing happens when you're not a morally reprehensible person and your husband manufactures meth.

Pretty legitimate complaint and I pretty much agree. I didn't like Marie at first but by the end I loved her.

I can't comment on Marie at the end. I was too blown away by all the other (male-centric, of course) shit that was going on.
Wow, gender-based television really suck in for me there. Jesus, I can be slow sometimes.

Marie was always one of my favorite characters. Her and Hank always felt like real people that you might know.

I agree to an extent, but she was the kind of person I wouldn't like IRL. Far too nosy.

At first it just seemed like she was there to pick fights with Skyler, and then there was the whole stealing thing that didn't really go anywhere which was kind of weird. But then yeah, I thought they developed her so well and she became such a realistic character.

I'm torn on Dexter as a show because I don't like anyone in it but there is something kinda compelling about it.

WHAT THE FUCK OLIVIA'S DAD, HE IS THE SCARIEST PARENT EVER.
I feel like I should really want to hate Jake but that actor is just stupidly endearing in everything and it's screwing with me.

I just started Queer as Folk. Oh man, year 2000 gay fashion is just the WORST.
Incredibly awkward episode right now, the little 17 Justins mom just tracked him down to a gay bar and he's shirtless.

Queer as Folk was my jam in high school. Despite the terrible fashion, Gale Harold is fucking hot and Hal Sparks is always adorable.

My boss was super into the books when I started working, but had never watched any of the series (I love the series but haven't read any books) so we could sort of bond over that. She actively refused to because she knew she would just get sucked into binge-watching the whole thing.
Which she eventually did. She told me she watched an entire season in one Saturday and I only realized later that she watched it ON HER IPHONE. She would take it outside to smoke because she didn't want to stop it, and (this being Arizona) had to drape a towel over her head to avoid glare from the sun.
I love that woman. She's nuts. But anyway, torrenting is the only way I can continue watching the show now and that make me nervous as I am a huge square.

True Detective is crazy. It can be kind of annoying, but when it clicks it's so good. It took Breaking Bad's place as the thing that I look forward to all Sunday. I was just so tense the entire time he was in the school last episode, just the way they built that. Crazzzzy. I love the weird horror it's roping in - using The King in Yellow is definitely something I wasn't expecting going in. Sadly, I'm also super in on them using the Gulf Coast like this. It makes me miss Houston.
