My team is so solid this year, and I'm only gonna be 5-4 after this week. Frickin eh.
Anyone watching tonight's game? I think Andre Johnson finally found a QB that appreciates him.

The Panthers are two games over .500. Yep, I don't believe it either.

We were just talking about Carolina, trying to figure them out. On one side, you have this 5-3 team that's scored over 30 in each of the last four games and held the opposition to 15 or less in those same affairs, including that embarrassing shellacking of the Giants a few games prior to this streak. On the other side, the teams they've beaten have a combined record of 8-34, and not a single one has even a .500 record. Their schedule ahead looks rough and should be a good test of what they can do, especially next week in San Francisco. They've only played one questionable game, so more power to them.

Yeah, they've played some really bad teams during this stretch but the defense has been impressive all season and Newton hasn't needed to be perfect in order for them to win. He had an off game by his standards today and they still handled Atlanta pretty easily. They would also lose to a lot of these teams the last couple of years so they are definitely making some progress. They still have to play SF, New England, Miami, the Jets and New Orleans twice, so they need to come out of that stretch relatively unscathed to have a shot at the playoffs. That said, I'm just happy that this team isn't playing like a steaming pile of shit early in the season since that's what I've been used to for the last four years.

Andre Johnson saved the other schmucks I threw out on my fantasy team this week. Keenum is raw, but progressing as an NFL quarterback, and it's cool to see, because you so rarely see something in the middle of the road. Typically, you get shite youngsters or prodigies. I know they're 2-6, but if there's a rebuilding year, it should be this one and then they'll be pretty set to go again next season.
I fucking hate the Cowboys. The stats on Garrett as a head coach are obnoxious; great record against shit teams, and 1-19 against teams with winning records. America's team...fuck you. I can't believe they still roll with that bullshit slogan.

Beating bad teams and losing to good ones is what mediocre teams do, and the Cowboys are better at being mediocre than anyone else in the league.
They said on Sportscenter that since 2011, Romo is 1st in the NFL in interceptions in the 4th quarter of games that are within three points or closer, AND tied for 1st with the most 4th quarter or OT game-winning drives in that same period. He's like Schrodinger's QB: simultaneously the best and the worst.

Best wishes to Gary Kubiak. Sounds like he's doing all right. His health is more important than the game, but it is unfortunate that the team fell apart without him. I can imagine that, though. And I have no offensive faith in Wade Phillips.
Yesterday was an insane fantasy day for wide outs. So many 100+ yards receiving games. If Riley Cooper becomes a star, I'm just quitting fantasy football for a year.

Wade Phillips is the coach from The Waterboy. He looks like a baby.
Fuck Riley Cooper. I hope Brandon Meriweather takes him out forever. And then gets banned for life.

Did I claim to be kind and not cruel somewhere?
I'd wish the same on Incognito.

Fuck Riley Cooper. I hope Brandon Meriweather takes him out forever. And then gets banned for life. not that I want this to happen, but I wouldn't shed a single tear if it did. fuck both of them. this season has been crazy frustrating. going 2-4 outside of the division and the only two wins being over Minnesota and St. Louis really does not bode well. the two close losses to Denver and Kansas City showed that they can hang with good teams, so not all negative there. NO, Chicago and Green Bay are the toughest matchups coming up, but honestly, it looks like the NFC East could very well send a 8-8 team to the playoffs unless the Cowboys can beat Oakland/the rest of the division or actually beat a winning team or two. Unless the defense shores up, that really seems unlikely. Romo is a good quarterback despite his mistakes, you just really can't expect him to carry the whole team every single game. I feel like I'm in goddamn Groundhog Day watching this team every year.

Whatever, it was kind of a relief to just get blown out of the water from the start instead of building false hope. And that's how a lot of games are going to go if Sean Lee and Jason Hatcher are out for a significant amount of time.

The Panthers defense has been so awesome this year. I was expecting the secondary to struggle but the awesome pass rush has masked some of their flaws. They would have gotten to Kaepernick a lot more yesterday if it wasn't for his scrambling. New England will be a very tough test.

I really haven't been paying attention to Carolina this year. Might have to now. I just sort of figured .500 was their ceiling.

They've exceeded my expectations so far but most of their wins are against really shitty teams aside from San Francisco. The next few weeks will probably determine if they are a playoff team or not but getting a win over SF was a nice start.

It's going to be hilarious when the Lions clinch the division. I hope Green Bay erupts in a sea of hara-kiri.

Fuck, that NFC game was incredible. The Seahawks are such a scary team because they don't have to play flawlessly to win; they can bounce back from their mistakes. Those finesse teams like Denver or New Orleans get slipped up if their well-oiled machine shows any weaknesses, but Seattle can win ugly.

My banner ad when I come to the board now is for a shirt that has our logo and just says "Snyder makes me drink."
Yep.

Dan Snyder is a vile human being and I hope all of the terrible things happen to him and only him.
i mean, the Cowboys may have Emperor Palpatine as their owner, but I'd MUCH rather have him and years of mediocrity over that little shitweasel Snyder.

haha I think agreeing on the owners sucking is one of the few things that Redskins and Cowboys fans can agree on. season hasn't even started and I already miss Demarcus Ware. I would have loved to see him retire in blue and white, but there's no way they were going to be able to afford him.
