OWTH have done it again. I've come around quite a bit on In Desolation, but this album grabbed me from the first listen. Got an advanced copy of Home and couldn't listen to anything else until it officially came out. Amazing album. It's a perfect blend of From The Bottom and In Desolation. Best band.

Fuck, the new Restorations is so good.
Also digging RVIVR and Gateway District's new ones. I thought the Tigers Jaw release of unmastered demos was interesting enough and I definitely need to listen to the new Rika LP more because it seems pretty rad from what I've heard.
Has anyone else heard the Hesitation Wounds EP? It's Jeremy Bolm and Jay Weinberg's new band with dudes from the Hope Conspiracy and Trap Them. It was apparently written and recorded in 5 hours and is actually pretty fucking solid.
I stumbled across the new album of a dude I used to hang out with a little bit back in high school. He had a few years on me and was the biggest straightedge asshole back then and now he's jumped on the whole cult imagery, black and white aesthetic that everyone seems to love these days. So funny and so bad.

Just listened to the stream of the new Alkaline Trio. Better than Agony & Irony, worse than everything else..

Depeche Mode's new album is awesome, I love it. I don't mind that their first single "Heaven" is a slower song, because I adore it so much, but "Soothe My Soul" kind of bores me. But overall I love this album a lotttttttttttttttttt. I'm so happy I got the deluxe version. Right now this album is tied with Ultra as my favorite.

The new Wavves is really fantastic. Also looking forward to the new Mikal Cronin now too.

Alkaline Trio-My Shame Is True: Eh. I like it about as much as This Addiction, maybe a little less. "I'm Only Here To Disappoint" is a great song, though.
Paramore- s/t: Pretty damn good, but it's a little long (17 songs, three of which are interludes? C'mon guys). They still haven't put out an album that I love front to back, but this is the closest they've come so far.
Kvelertak- Meir: Yep, fucking awesome.
Clutch- Earth Rocker: The best album they've done since Robot Hive/Exodus, maybe even better than that. Seriously great stuff, and I'm sure it'll be high on my year-end list.
Murder By Death- As You Wish: The Kickstarter Covers: It's MBD covering Motorhead, Elliott Smith, The Misfits, Wilson Phillips, et al. What's not to love?
Ghost- Infestissumam: Haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet, but I like what I've heard so far.
Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine- White People and the Damage Done: Not much to say about it; Jello's stuff is always solid, and this is no exception. A lot of great riffs on this one.

I've only heard True North and My Shame Is True. Love True North, and I enjoy MSIT more than A&I and This Addiction, but not as much as the rest of their albums. The Broken Wing EP is fantastic, though. Best Dan songs in awhile.

This year fucking rules so far. Not really feeling the new Daft Punk, but The National and Mikal Cronin make up for it. Also Boards of Canada and Kanye in a month.

The new Wavves is really fantastic. Also looking forward to the new Mikal Cronin now too. Very good New Eluvium -- very good New National -- Early, but three songs are really hooking already and that's more than any of their other albums. New Vampire Weekend -- Surprisingly good

Home is hitting me the same goddamn way that the Flatliners' Cavalcade got me when I was 18. I can't handle this shit.
