Okay, since this is a new, spoiler-free page I feel safe posting in here now, haha. I watched the first series and really liked it (aside from the second episode, which I thought was kinda boring). I LOVE Moriarty in this; his weird, sing-songy voice makes him really menacing for some reason. I also like the idea of making Watson an Afghanistan war vet, though they haven't really done anything with that since the pilot.
Series 2 starts on PBS tomorrow night; I'm pretty excited (though it's unfortunately on at the same time as Game of Thrones).

Seriously. I was listening to The Great Game commentary and they were talking about Andrew Scott and his movements and things.

Woo, the Second Series finally came here.
It was so good. There's so many good things to say about it. Just about the wittiest and most clever dialogue - I just like listening to everyone speak. That's all I ever want from TV and movies - good dialogue. Even though "Sherlocked" was kind of cheesy.
Double points for it being okay for general broadcast/all sorts of aged people. So much good TV these days is 100% not suitable for kids, so anytime you can watching something A+ fantastic with everyone that's a big win.
I'm just hoping The Hound of Baskerville rules. Even though I'm pretty sure I just read a spoiler online. w.t.f.

Loved it. The resolution of the cliffhanger was so great, and I thought this was the most interesting mystery yet. Not sure if I liked the final twist at the end, though.

That was real dumb. I can not believe they had him holding that ridiculous scimitar.

The Hounds of Baskerville is the least good episode of the second season, but there is still lots of good that happens hahahha.
I was just reading about how they had to cut the episodes down to air here, obviously no major plot points get removed but I'm afraid some good yet non-essential dialogue got lost.
'Sherlocked' is cheesy as hell but I still love it so much hahhahaha.

Are ya'll kidding me? When that happened I rolled around on the sofa and screamed the f word because my body couldn't take the intense emotions that were happening in my brain. On watching it a second (and third and four hundredth) time it seems so goddamn obvious from the second you see it but the first time ... god. It was incredible.

I found a list of stuff cut from the episode, not that it really matters to basically anybody because those of you who watched it hadn't seen these bits anyway (and there are some good ones ) and I think it's safe to say those of us who have already seen it didn't watch hahahah. But if anybody's curious.

What the shit?! They cut out all the best bits!

I know right. I had to brace myself before I started reading because I knew it would be a list of non-essential stuff but all that stuff is a huge part of why the show is so great hahahah.

Yeah, I mean it's nothing that's essential to the plot, but it's all the awesome character stuff. Imagine not seeing the bit that proves Mycroft cares about Sherlock's wellbeing!

I'm with you man. And judast some of the bits were just so funny, like stealing the ashtray hahahah. I just can't imagine losing any of the Buckingham Palace scene.
I've been seeing a lot of people excited for Reichenbach Fall cuts because they are hoping the edits will shine a little light on theories, like what we were looking at that didn't actually matter.

Hounds of Baskerville was okay. It felt more like an X-Files episode than Sherlock, though. Still some great moments, especially the first scene. "No cab would take me!"

I watched The Reichenbach Fall, and here are my theories. I think these things are fairly certain: the angle that John was watching from, the truck parked at the curb, the "witnesses" that rushed over to the body, and the guy who hit John with the bike were all involved in the faking of Sherlock's death. The witnesses and the guy on the bike were most likely part of his homeless network. It think it's pretty obvious that Molly was involved too, since he needed her help, but it was never revealed what for. I'm guessing she provided blood, a body, some of the medical staff, or all of the above.
I think the girl screaming when she saw Sherlock is definitely important, though I don't know why. I like the theory that Katie sent to me that said she was actually pointing at John, and that one guy in the background kind of looks like him. I also think the camera planted in the apartment enters into this somehow, since it's brought up but never really mentioned again.
I would not be surprised if Mycroft is in on everything, or at least was aware of it.
Does anyone doubt that Moriarty is actually dead? I think he is, but I wouldn't be shocked if that death was faked too, haha.
Oh, one last thing: My own theory? I think there's more significance to the gingerbread man. Sherlock points out that it's "burnt to a crisp," and both him and Moriarty make a ton of references to burning, fire, and hell during their little talks. How any of that would fit in is beyond me, but it stood out.

I think I forgot to post again, but the Fall was so. freaking. good.
The entire scene on the roof was so intense. I really hope Moriarty is dead. How great would it be that they created a character who would actually kill himself to spite his arch enemy? Is there anything more grim/sinister/malicious?
Even though I would miss that actor/character. He's just so good.
I really don't have any theories, though. I just hope the reveal isn't some huge cop out.

I know what you mean. I want Moriarty to be dead because that's awesome, but judas he is fantastic.
I've pretty high hopes for the explanation, I trust them with it.

Uh did anybody else have no idea the first episode of season three was airing last night? I haven't been on the internet too much since I'm home with my family but still I thought I would have caught that before 10:00pm last night. It was a nice surprise since I could immediately watch it though. Lestrade's reaction to Sherlock revealing himself was perfect!

Okay, how did we not notice that there was a whole building between John and where Sherlock fell? And why did they bother with a corpse if Sherlock was just going to switch places with it before John even got there?
I didn't really like the way the bomb got disarmed, that was too tidy.

Nick, I watched both episodes out this season so far the other night, and that was my FIRST thought.
Sherlock's best man speech. The feels.

I liked this episode okay, but it felt like too much screwing around with the wedding stuff and not enough mystery solving. I love Mary, though. I hope she's a major character from now on and tags along with them on cases and whatnot. She's fun. I liked the way the three cases came together in the end, but I figured out who the target was pretty early; it was a little obvious.

I really liked the first episode because it was funny but also had a lot of action, so I didn't get bored. The second one was pretty good but felt too much like a filler, which is silly for a show that has only three episodes per season, and the third one... wasn't bad? I guess? Overall, after a two year wait, I was expecting more from this season. And I'm still not certain we know the true way that Sherlock faked his death, and that upsets me haha.
