Man, I totally meant to catch up on this show (I've never seen it) while it was on hiatus, but I never did. Kind of regretting that now. Though I guess if I hit the torrents I could probably get caught up in time.

I've seen seasons 1 & 2 and thought it was a really well done show. The end of season two was so intense, Jesus Christ. Need to catch up on 3. It's a show I really can't watch too much of in one go, though. Too depressing.

I think most people like season 3 the most (and it's great), but season 2 is still my favorite, if only because of the ending which seems to be pretty polarizing. season 3 made me like most of the supporting characters a lot more though. the hate Skyler gets from people is ridiculous. she's awesome, STFU

I don't know what happens in season 3, but Skyler's ace. She doesn't take any of his shit and good for her.

I gave up at the penultimate episode of season 2. I can't fucking stand Walt.

yeah, he's a pretty horrible person

Seriously. I mean I know that's the point, that he's such a ~flawed hero but really, just fuck off. You can't do the worst shit in the name of Doing It For My Family if your family don't want it.

I'm halfway through the second season now and I fucking love this show. So far my favorite characters are Hank and Jesse. I like how Jesse started out as the screwup, but he's quickly becoming the one with his shit together. That episode where he's trying to help the little kid living with the meth fiends was heartbreaking. And Hank started as a loudmouth Alpha Male type, but he's turned out to be a more complicated character. Walt's an almost impossible character to like at this point, but I can understand the choices he's made about how to deal with his cancer. God, that scene with Danny Trejo's severed head on the tortoise was horrifying.

OMG poor Hank That scene where he's attacked was so intense, holy shit. Jesse's rant about how he was going to destroy Hank's life to the point where he eats his gun was fucking spine-chilling. Aaron Paul is sooooo fucking good. Oh, and the one where Hank corners Jesse and Walt in the RV is one of the most tense things I've ever seen on television. This show is so awesome.

damn, you're speedy. yeah, certain parts of season 3 (like the two you just mentioned) are more suspenseful than anything I can think of from pretty much any movie or television show.
I think at this point my 3 favorite characters are Mike, Saul, and Skyler but I certainly do have love for Jesse and Hank too

Oh man, I love Saul, haha. Casting Bob Odenkirk as a sleazy lawyer was a stroke of genius.
I don't know how I feel about Skyler. She has every right to be as angry and hurt as she is, but I have a hard time liking her. Maybe it's because things moved so fast that we never got a feel for her before she was constantly angry and suspicious. Also, I hate her name! It just does not seem like the name of a grown woman, haha. "Skyler" sounds like the name of a bratty 5 year-old.

I think her name is fine, haha. I don't know how I feel about Skyler. She has every right to be as angry and hurt as she is, but I have a hard time liking her. Maybe it's because things moved so fast that we never got a feel for her before she was constantly angry and suspicious. I liked her for the first 2 and a half seasons, but I can see how someone wouldn't. it wasn't until the second half of season 3 where I started to love her though. she's just as brilliant and tough as Walt, except not so despicable so I can actually admire it

that premiere episode was pretty damn slow, but well deserved. Skyler was phenomenal. I feel so bad for Marie the scene where Gus killed Victor was so fucking creepy. if the cast and crew of the show wanted, they could make the greatest horror movie ever. the end of the episode was probably the first time that Walt has been more sympathetic than Jesse since season 1

Yeah, I was expecting to be a little more fast-paced like the last two episodes of season 3, but I wasn't disappointed. Holy shit, Gus was so terrifying. The extremely slow, methodical way he took the lab apron on and off made it that much more painful to watch (all the while, Walt babbling in the background, haha). It was also odd how Jesse didn't speak for almost the entire episode; it was a little unsettling.
Skyler smooth-talking her way into Walt's apartment was awesome.
Also loved the scene with Saul. "You got a passport?"
I'm assuming the cops are going to find Gale's notebook and that will be the driving force of the plot for a while. I'm guessing they're going to think he's Heisenberg.

I think tonight's episode was the best of the season so far. Loved the scene with Walt and Skyler rehearsing their story. Am I the only one who thinks Skyler's line about being only seen as the "bitch mom" was meta commentary? I've noticed that among online communities where people talk about Breaking Bad, there's a huge amount of misogyny directed at Skyler (and to a lesser extent, Marie). Words like "bitch" and "cunt" get hurled at her character almost every time she's brought up.

yeah, that scene was great. Skyler kept cracking me up. "It's a doozy, so hold onto your hats!" who knew she would end up being the comic relief of the show? but yeah, I definitely thought that about the "bitch mom" line. I read the boards on imdb on occasion, and the language people use towards her is ridiculous.
I liked that they dedicated half an episode to Marie. Betsy Brandt's acting was fantastic. she hasn't really had the chance to shine until this season

Man, last night's was so good. I loved Walt's drunken, dangerous bravado to Hank at the dinner table, and I loved Gus' brilliant scheme to bring Jesse back into the fold. So glad Hank seems to be reinvigorated and back to his old self, too.
This continuing dance between Walt and Gus where Walt tries to make a power play, but then just gets effortlessly side-stepped by Gus is really great, and almost comic. Gus is three steps ahead of everyone, including the audience (I like that we're almost never privvy to more info about what he's up to than Walt is).
Oh, and the big news today is that the contract negotiations are done, and they made a deal for the final, 5th season to be 16 episodes. I'm really glad they have an end date; this show more than any other needs one.

yeah I really liked it too, though not quite as much as last week's. the montage of Mike and Jesse driving in the car was great. gahh, Walt is such a fucking moron. I loved Skyler's facial reactions to his speech at the dinner table. what I really want to see at this point is a scene with her and Jesse meeting again
really happy about the news for 16 episodes, though the article I read suggested that they didn't know if it would be over 1 or 2 seasons. if they split it up into two, I'll be pretty disappointed, but I suppose that'd give them more time to work on it

I'm kind of surprised how slow the episodes are still moving at this point in the season, but either way the last episode was really good. everything to do with Jesse was really well done, especially his monologue at the end. it's also nice when there's an episode where they can fit all the characters in without it feeling forced. my only complaint is that I'm a little sick of them ending the episode with Hank. it was a good scene, but I think it would have been better if they finished with Jesse. oh, and from the episode before "Someone has to protect this family from the man who protects this family" YES

I loved the ending scene with Hank, especially how they kept us (the audience) in the dark about most of the evidence he'd collected. That made it pack more of a punch. And yeah, Jesse at the NA meeting was one of the finest bits of acting Aaron Paul's ever done on the show. Walt setting fire to the car was awesome/hilarious. "No, I think he'll be able to see me." Haha. I like how his attempts to make big changes are being foiled this season, so he's lashing out in smaller ways like this.

ASLKFJA;OSDINVOISNOINSODVNSLKDFSLDJFLKSDNF HOW IS THERE STILL ANOTHER SEASON AFTER THIS ONE. EVERYONE COULD BE DEAD BY THE END OF THE NEXT EPISODE. Holy fucking shit that was insane. This show is so unpredictable that I briefly thought Gus would just put a bullet in Walt's head when they dragged him out to the desert. Just..mid-sentence, BLAM. I wouldn't have surprised me at all.
