Top 5 Movie Ending Songs (chosen by quality of scene + song combination):
1. "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds, Judd Nelson's triumphant departure in The Breakfast Club 2. "Where is My Mind?" by The Pixies, skyline explosion in Fight Club 3. "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, house erupting with popcorn in Real Genius 4. "Mad World" by Gary Jules, character countenance montage in Donnie Darko 5. "Ohh La La" by The Faces, post-play dance celebration in Rushmore
Fairly cliche list... which just serves as a testament to the overall quality.

going off of that... 1. "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life", from Life of Brian crucifixion 2. "Save Me" by Aimee Mann, from Magnolia Walters and Reilly's characters make up 3. "Somebody to Love" by Jefferson Airplane, from A Serious Man TORNADO 4. "Midnight Radio", from Hedwig and the Angry Inch taking off a wig and giving it to someone else, ya know 5. "Let's Go Fly A Kite", from Mary Poppins (okay, this is total filler but Mary Poppins rules so it's cool) flying kites... Honorable Mention: "Breathe Me" by Sia, from the Six Feet Under series finale. it'd be first if it was a movie everything on this list except the Life of Brian would probably make my top 20 movies list so it's pretty biased, but whatever.

Top 5 songs I want playing for my own personal chase scene:
1. "Wolf Like Me" by TV on the Radio (probably running through the woods from some savage creature) 2. "Sober" by Tool (slow motion chase scene through a black and white city-scape) 3. "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin (car chase, maybe fleeing from a tornado or some such chaos) 4. "Last Dinosaur" by The Pillows (happy chase scene, more like a childhood montage, 1979 sorta thing) 5. "The Last March of the Ents" by The Fall of Troy (being chased by trees, of course)

I was actually involved in a chase scene once where I was being pursued by a much larger man than I who was a little too overly worked up that my friend kicked his fence after his coincidentally large dog scared the shit out of us as we were nonchalantly walking by. We had an iPod speaker on in my pocket with Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) playing as loud as possible. I can't remember the actual songs played at the time, but it was fucking awesome.

For movie-ending songs, I always liked "Misery" by Soul Asylum at the end of Clerks 2.

In the broader uses of music category, I like You And Me from Blue Valentine and also every single thing Wes Anderson uses, but especially Search and Destroy in Life Aquatic.

But the other 4 might be Garth, lol.

Haha we used to watch the video on TNN at my friends' house.
If this was 80s it'd be all George Strait and Dwight.

It's so hard to choose 5 because there were so many awesome 90s pop country songs. I could go on for days. In fact, I did go on for days once in a thread on OMB. Haha. Lots of me and Tanya in that thread.
1) Toby Keith - Should've Been a Cowboy (I have this shit on Rock Band. It rules.) 2) Garth Brooks - Calling Baton Rouge 3) Clay Walker - What's It to You? 4) Neal McCoy - They're Playing Our Song 5) Alabama - I'm in a Hurry (and Don't Know Why)
My mom listened to a lot of country.
Top 5 80s country: 1) George Strait - Amarillo by Morning (possibly my all-time favorite cover) 2) Dwight Yoakam - Gutiars, Cadillacs 3) Alabama - If You're Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band) 4) Kathy Mattea - 18 Wheels and a Dozen Roses 5) Randy Travis - Forever and Ever, Amen

Haha same. My mom is pretty much nothing but country. Nice to see Neal McCoy on there. That Tim McGraw song, "Don't Take the Girl," would be pretty high up on my list too.

Neal McCoy has some good stuff, but he's also got some pretty bad stuff.
"Don't Take the Girl" got overplayed for me (like pretty much all Alan Jackson), but I've still got it on my iPod. I'm not a terribly huge Tim McGraw fan. I don't think any of his songs could crack my Top 25 of the 90s.

I'm still not sure whether I mildly enjoy 90s country, or if I'm just nostalgic about the ordeal. I really don't like country in general, but find myself singing along every time to stuff like "We fogged up the windows in my old Chevy; I was willing, but she wasn't ready."

The "Chattahoochee" riff is fucking classic.
Top 2 Bad Religion songs involved in chase scenes in movies: 1) Two Babies in the Dark (The Chase) 2) Leaders & Followers (Clerks)

Haha, oh Shania. She ruled country with an iron fist for a while.
"Whose bed have your boots been under?"

Haha, oh Shania. She ruled country with an iron fist for a while. "Whose bed have your boots been under?" My old work used to play her songs allllllll the time. It was awkward seeing my boss sing along to "That Don't Impress Me Much."

I'm not into Shania, but you can see my comment about Alan Jackson. Brooks & Dunn seriously have so many great songs. I'd put Brand New Man right up there with Boot Scootin Boogie and their cover of My Maria.
