Talk about immensely popular movies, shows, books, and music that you've never experienced. I'll go first: I've never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
EDIT: Let's try to avoid talking about things being over/underrated (i.e. "I never thought _____ was that good."). That gets old.

I've never watched/have no plans of ever watching Star Wars. I've never seen any of 'em.

I've tried, Carrie, multiple times. But something better was always on.

I'm sure that there are so many Star Wars references in pop culture that at this point you can probably piece it together without actually seeing it.

The Admiral Ackbars, the "it's a trap!"s, whoever shot first, blah blah blah. I get it. I've never watched a full episode of The Office. Or Lost This too.

I've committed so many pop culture sins with movies. I've never seen any Star Wars, The Big Lebowski, Ghostbusters, all of the Harry Potters except the 6th, all of the Lord of the Rings except the 2nd, and Shawshank Redemption. That's just the beginning. I need to force myself to watch more movies, big time.

I've never watched Lost either. As for Harry Potter, I never read past the 4th book (and that was years ago) or saw any of the movies.

I don't watch a lot of movies so there's a ton of "classics" I haven't seen. The biggest sin for me is that I still haven't bought a next-gen gaming console.

I don't have/don't read/don't know how to navigate a Twitter account. I think I've visted that site twice in my life.

I never read/watched the Harry Potter books/movies either.
I can cast a pretty broad net by just saying all video games and 99.9% of television. Pop culture staples of our generation like 90s Nickolodeon shows, The Simpsons, etc. are completely lost on me. I could come up with the names of some of the shows, but I either don't know or can't remember the first thing about them. Currently I don't own a TV, and if I'm watching one it's either for SVU or sports.
Does religion count? I wasn't introduced to the concept of god until I was like 6. And then I was pretty naïve about its ubiquity until my late teenage years.

I think my biggest pop culture crime is lacking any sense of nostalgia about television or movies (or music, for that matter). All I'm the least bit nostalgic about is video games.

I've never watched Lost either. As for Harry Potter, I never read past the 4th book (and that was years ago) or saw any of the movies. Replace 4 with 3 and add "with the exception of the second" after "any" and that would be me.

I've never seen any of the Back To the Future movies either. first actual pop culture sin to be confessed in this thread (the first one anyway) You're all right about Star Wars. My wife recently watched New Hope and Empire for the first time and basically found out that she basically already knows them front to back from word alone. I've never read any of the HP novels either. I'm not really into fantasy and magic and shit. Since I look like Harry, a lot of people think I'll get references. I really don't. Sorry, homeys. I finally found out what Quidditch was based solely on the fact that people would say that like every day. Haha. And it's amazing that people will be like "You're lying. You're just saying that." Serio, holmes. I've never watched Lost, but I want to. When Lost started, we were living out in the country and couldn't get broadcast TV so I lost out on a lot of stuff from 2004-2007. I completely missed Arrested Development and didn't get into it til later. I'm hoping to finally get to watch Lost eventually. I've never watched all of Eternal Sunshine. It's hard to include that in here though because most of the reason I've never watched it is because I fall asleep 20 minutes in every time I give it a try.

Oooh yeah, I've not seen any Back to the Future or Eternal Sunshine. I really want to see the later. I was with some friends who really loved BttF and the second one came on tv so they had me watch for a bit and explained what was going on but as soon as they left I changed the channel, hahah. If I'm ever going to watch them I'm certainly not starting with the second.

I've also never seen any of the Indiana Jones movies. Except like 5 minutes of the latest one. But then I saw CGI boxes and decided to stop watching.
Also, never watched ET. Maybe I have a thing against Steven Speilberg?

Holy shit, please see the old Indiana Jones movies. The new one has NOTHING on the old ones. Nothing.
-I didn't start eating pizza until about 2 years ago. I'm 25. -Haven't seen any of the Godfather movies, Kill Bill, Citizen Kane, Fear and Loathing, and countless other movies. I just don't watch many movies. -I don't know about the rest of the World/US, but crabs (to consume, not pubic crabs you lollerz) are fucking HUGE in Maryland. I've never had a single bite. They scare me because they look like spiders.

Juicy, succulent spiders that are delicious when dipped in butter.

While we're making Maryland based confessions I'm just going to say it; I don't like crabcakes. I know they're Maryland's delicacy and all but they just aren't that great. Every once and while you'll get a really good one but overall, meh. That said, I love steamed crab.

I don't have/don't read/don't know how to navigate a Twitter account. I think I've visted that site twice in my life. I was forced to create/maintain a Twitter account for some of my classes. I hate it. -I don't know about the rest of the World/US, but crabs (to consume, not pubic crabs you lollerz) are fucking HUGE in Maryland. I've never had a single bite. They scare me because they look like spiders. DUDE. They are delicious sea-bugs that are begging to be eaten! They have TAB on their abdomen that's like, oh hey just peel this and eat me because I AM SO FUCKING TASTY. Every once and while you'll get a really good one but overall, meh. That said, I love steamed crab. Have you ever eaten a softball-sized crab cake standing at a table at Faidley's in Lexington Market? Actually for that matter I assume you've never experienced crab cakes on the west coast, which suck incredibly. YOU'RE CRAZY. (Edit: my bf's mom ships Maryland crab cakes to us every Christmas and it's the DOPEST THING EVER.) I'm passionate about blue crab. Anyway. After reviewing this thread, I am a pop culture junkie and I'm satisfied with my experience.

Can anyone who says they've never seen a single episode of Hey Arnold be banned?
Didn't get into World or Warcraft. Always preferred Day of Defeat to Counter-Strike(wtf was the map everyone played? Dust 2?)
For shows, I saw an episode of Lost in the middle of season 3. Realized there was no point in watching it unless if was from the beginning (and now to the end). I still haven't seen much of Community or an episode of 30 Rock. Been meaning to. :/
Haven't seen a lot of the old old Disney films. I don't think I've seen all of any Godfather film. Up until recently, I hadn't seen Jaws.
I'm not even about to get into the number of books I haven't read. George Orwell books were the first to come to mind though. Haven't read a single one.

I've watched/read everything in this thread except for The Office and Community. I honestly don't have much interest in doing either.
Also, I've never had crab, nor will I. Ever.
I'm pretty ok with my pop culture connections.
