I have one issue of that, it's translated by Frank Miller. it's beautiful. I've read some of the Dark Horse ones. And I'd kill to get the whole set. And Jeremy, very cool.

I've only seen the movies, but they are fucking awesome. There's one where he fights 3 master assassins in a desert and he cuts one of them in half vertically. Then he chops one of them in the neck and TIME STOPS AND HE GIVES A SHORT MONOLOGUE ABOUT THE SOUND OF THE WIND THAT ONLY THE DYING CAN HEAR before blood fires out of his neck like from a fire hose.

Dude, totally the only manga I'll ever consider buying. It's so fucking awesome. The movies are great, too. There was a TV series back in like mid to late 60s that ran for 6 or 7 seasons that I want to get.

Batman and Robin #16. Just wow. The effective conclusion of the chapter of Batman that Morrison has been writing for the last few years, and it was AWESOME. I wish I had enough free time to go back and read the whole thing through any time soon.

Just (FINALLY) caught up on the current Lex Luthor Action Comics storyline. It's so cool guys, Gorilla Grodd attacks Lex with a giant spoon that he tries to use to scoop out Luthor's brain. And the Death issue is fantastic. Great use of the character.

I had to bring this back, I know the last two posts are me but I just love comics so much. Plus those of you reading Walking Dead can talk about it here and not spoil the plot for the TV watchers! I was talking to Nick the other day about how I thought the reveal of who Dr. Hurt was in Batman was kind of underwhelming, and then in the process of talking about it, I realized it was actually awesome. Has anyone else been reading Batman? It's been great, I promise. Just finished the IDW adaptation of the Last Unicorn. Beautiful art, and it is a great story. A friend of mine used to make me watch the Rankin-Bass cartoon every time I visited her so I wasn't exactly a fan going in, but it was really cool. Also, if you don't have Amazon Prime/Student, this website www.cheapgraphicnovels.com/ is astonishingly cheap. And they have almost everything.

Been reading Sin City, Hellboy, Moebius stuff, Morrison's Doom Patrol, and the evergreen Umbrella Academy which I never get sick of no matter how many times I read it.
I pretty much hate the entire state of superhero comics right now, the business politics right now are so shitty that I couldn't bring myself to buy something from Marvel or DC even if I heard that it was the next Watchmen or what have you. DC's higher ups have been openly taunting fans to their faces about representation issues and Marvel is totally cool with not paying Kirby's family for creating the backbone of their entire business, so none of that for a long time I think.

Just read Pixu by Ba, Moon, Vasilis Lolos, and Becky Cloonan this morning. Four incredible artists telling one creepy story. Must-read. I read this recently too. So good. I'm a huge fan of Becky Cloonan. Read her new books Wolves and The Mire. Both are great. Also been reading the Oz books from Marvel, mostly because I love Skottie Young's illustrations, and I'm digging them.

I just picked up the first six issues of the New 52 Batman - The Dark Knight. I'm excited to get into that. I also bought the Batman Court of Owls hardcover collection. I was originally planning on catching up on that run, but the comic store in town didn't have the issues I needed, so I went with Dark Knight instead.
Also picked up four issues of Lobo for 25 cents a piece. I remember loving his character in the Superman Animated Series, so I figured I'd see what the comic is like.

Ive been reading Batman Detective comics for a bit now. I missed out on a couple of issues so I had to play catch up a little bit. And one of my friends bought me that Court of Owls hardcover too and some of the issues afterwards but I haven't had the time to really take time and read that yet.

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing. I made an on-the-spot call and apparently it was the wrong decision. Haha. Sounds like I should have went with Batman & Robin instead. Oh well, guess I'll decide for myself once I start reading them. If it sucks I just won't bother picking up the rest of the issues.

Aaron convinced me to buy the first Black Science and I really really liked it. I just read Rocket Girl #1 and it was kinda meh, it seems like there's a trend in lady centered comics where the ladies have to be SUPER AWESOME at EVERYTHING and they're just SO BAD ASS, I don't know, it's kind of boring.

I really want to get into comics again, but I really dislike super hero stuff. I used to read Star Wars comics all the time. Any suggestions for stuff out there that isn't super hero-ey?

Saga and East of West are the two best comics currently running, bar none. Saga is an incredible space opera, and East of West is some weird, dystopian Western shit.

Saga is so good. I got the first book. Can't wait to read the next one. Also, been reading Prophet. Really love the heavy sci-fi of it. Totally out of left field if you've even just seen the Rob Liefield artwork for the original series. Brandon Graham is killing it with the writing for it. Loving Giannis Milonogiannis' art more than any of the others, I have to say.
Oh, and Pretty Deadly. Art is fantastic. I've only read the first issue, but I'm stoked for it.
