Only those without souls James. The damned. But not The Damned, because they're cool.

If Tegan and Sara covered "New Rose" I'd dance.

Tanya, didn't you used to hate Tegan and Sara? No, I just resisted listening to them.

I'm not all that thrilled with most of their covers save Dancing in the Dark.
I just started going through the older albums. This is Everything tears me up, its so good.

For the longest time I thought she was singing "I'm a frosted lemon carrot" I just giggled so hard! Then went and listened to the song and it really does sound like that.

Today is their birthday! They're twentyNIIIIINETEEEEEEEN.
Last year my best friend and I worked on big birthday cards for them and we planned on mailing them to their management or something, but we never did, haha.

I've seen them twice and own under feet like ours, but honestly just couldn't give a shit about this band. Their cuteness doesn't make up for the boringness.

guys, guys, you're all wrong. the saddest song on The Con is Dark Come Soon. I was inclined to agree, but then I remembered "Soil, Soil," which was pretty much the first song I related to out of heartbreak. It's probably way too early to tell, but I don't think Sainthood is going to touch The Con. Even if the music is equally amazing, I just associate what I currently consider the most beautiful period of my life with The Con and the feeling I get from it is far too powerful.

I listened to The Con after my first serious breakup. it was decimating.

Definitely, The Con just won't be topped for similar personal attachments, but Sainthood is looking pretty damn good.

One time I was at an all time low during a long bout of depression, and I listened to "Don't Confess." I have only cried that hard two or three other times in my whole life.

On one of the worst days of my life (There are two, and at the time of the first I was into terrible, terrible music) I listened to "Don't Confess" on repeat for about an hour and cried my eyes out. That intense kind of cry where I had a headache the whole next day from it.

Where Does the Good Go came on at work yesterday and I had to go hide in a fitting room because I just absolutely bawled. Like, snorting bawled. Fortunately the store wasn't going to be open much longer.
Since we broke up, I've resisted listening to any of their music because I don't want to associate it with being sad but I'm thinking I need to give it a go. Might make me feel better haha

Might make me feel better haha Both times I got broken up with, I had to stop listening to Tegan & Sara for a while just so I would be able to be sociable when I needed to. It's been so long now that even though I know I'm still sad about everything, at least I can listen to T&S without crying.

Tegan and Sara is such good relationship/recent breakup music. But it kind of taints it forever. The Con reminds me of my ex girlfriend, who, while I would not get back with in a million years, it makes me all reminiscent and sad.

Yeah but still. If a song has sad lyrics and not sad music it doesn't make for the whole experience! Elliott Smith is a master of this. Anyway, it'd been a while since I'd listened to T&S, thanks thread.

Are they doing anything special with the release? i.e. multiple editions or dvds or anything? I want to make sure I get the most for my money on Tuesday and I am sorely lacking in T&S updates.

I was planning on pre-ordering the album but for some reason I naively did not expect the bundle to be so expensive. I am going to see exactly how much spending money I have in my bank account so I can feel better about going through with this.
Ffffffffffffffffffffff Tegan & Sara.
EDIT - Okay, I ordered it.
