So, I've been listening to Sainthood like..nonstop in my car since I got it. I decided it was really really time to switch it up, so I just put all the T&S CD's in my player (I've got 6 slots!) and hit shuffle. Goddamn, it just made me wanna puke. Not necessarily in a bad way...in a "Holy shit this is so sad and I am so sad but its so good what the fuck do I doooooooooo nowwww" type way. What is it about this band that makes me feel like that? Not even Eliott Smith makes me feel like that.

something romantically awful did happen to me at 19, but that's not what i associate that song with at all.

I do not like this ONE LITTLE BIT. I can't see those pretty faces under all that worthless crap, as my grandmother used to say. My lord, couldn't they have photoshopped out Sara's manjaw and Adam's apple? As a cisgender, white, anglo saxon, male, I think the makeup makes them look kinda hot.

That was really more fourteen year old me saying that. Bummer to see plain janes like me that I've heavily looked up to for years changing without me.
BUT CASEY! WOMEN CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT! YOU'RE BEING ANTI-FEMINIST! Shush.

I like them a lot better without makeup because I think they're more, them(?) that way, but they're gorgeous with it. I don't think I'd be able to take them srsly at a show if they were all done up though, ya know? They just look like dolls in that picture!

I still think The Ocean is the best song on Sainthood.

Ocean is definitely one of my least favorites. Northshore and Paperback Head 4lyfe.

Dammit, I need to download this again. I was up to like 35 listens on the whole album before my computer crapped out. Curses!

For the first couple of listens I wasn't very crazy about The Ocean or The Cure. However, both are definitely growing on me.

The Ocean is definitely my favorite on the album, but maybe it's for personal reasons. I love Hell, The Cure, and Alligator too.

The Cure has become my favorite, definitely. With that name? I'm shocked! Knew I should have made the joke myself. I've been listening to This Business Of Art a lot, particularly My Number. Also Freedom and Superstar but those are embarrassing to admit.
